Short family break

Overall good, restrictions on pool use for kids wasn't fair, beakfast not the best for the cost. Water pressure in hotel poor so, is us for room on the lower floors. Good location with good links to Dublin City.

Pros: As above
Cons: Breakfasts.
Location: V close to Dart and sea so excellent.
The breakfasts were disappointing. The scrambled egg had sugar in it. Otherwise good classic hotel. My room was in the older part and had no air con so had to wedge the window open with a book.

Nice hotel, far away from the city

Posted 11-Apr-2017
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Royal Marine. Staff were very kind and courteous. We ate dinner twice at the resturaunt and the food was great. Being our first trip to Ireland, I wish I knew how far away from downtown Dublin the hotel was located. We ended up having to take a train a half hour each way to get to Center City everyday.

Great location, with easy access to DART

Posted 04-Apr-2017
Pros: Location and facilities - breakfast good and very good value
Location: Farmers' market in the People's Park on Sunday morning is something else !! Easy access to Dublin on the DART
Good - but may have been due to the weather !! If it had been wall-to-wall cloud and rain could havre been different

Executive room? Don't think so.

Pee on loo seat. Only 1 shampoo and 1 shower gel between 2. Executive room but no inclusive breakfast. Tired looking decor. Budget hotel in disguise.

nice hotel set within nice surroundings

Posted 29-Mar-2017
Pros: not much
Location: The hotel is well positioned holding a central position within the town. close access to bus and rail transport.
Stayed here on a friends advice although I personally was disappointed with the entrance and surrounding area of hotel. thought it was dated and in need of modernisation. Bedroom 420 which i stayed in was at the back of the hotel with a poor view, the room its self was clean and reasonably modern.
