It's a great place to stay! We have been there on three different occasions & have enjoyed every time at this cabin. it's a great place to get the family together for your vacation!!
We loved the cabin and the location. It was quiet and peaceful. It was great having a creek in the back yard that the kids could play in to stay cool. Communication with owners was great.
Cabin beautiful, well equipped. Creek wonderful. Elk visited and filled yard. Great hike on Pine tree trail just down road. Need to be sure to bring supplies - long way to stores.
We had a fabulous time just enjoying the scenery and being with family. Nice to disconnect from our busy lives and just enjoy. Everything was just as expected and more. Great weekend and can’t wait to return hopefully this fall.
Pulling up to the cabin the pictures were exactly what they showed. The inside is beautiful with all the great mounts on the wall. It was perfect and comfortable for 5 people. Could fit a couple more and still be fine with the space. It’s in a great location for wildlife viewing and/or hunting. I would definitely say there again.
We have been coming to Elk County for several years to view the elk and this year we brought our best friends along with us for their first time. They were so excited to see the big bulls and listen to all the bugling!! We had such a relaxing time at the cabin as well! It was perfect! Thanks for great getaway!!
We had a wonderful time, the cabin was very clean and comfy, and the property is beautiful. Only one thing, and this is not something the owners can change, is the (well) water
smells. Be sure to bring drinking and cooking water. Other than that, it's a 5 star rating from us

We were only there for 1 1/2 days...but had a great stay! Heard lots of bugling, saw some Elk, not near the cabin had to drive to the lookouts, but also had a bear run across the road in front of us and saw turkeys. Had a small issue that turned out to just be a GFI that needed reset, but I emailed and he was there almost before the email was sent! Appreciated that quick response! Good cabin, good times!
The cabin was smaller than we thought. Could have used lighting over the dining table and curtains on the windows. Other than that, we enjoyed the cabin, good location, easy access to everything.
I have stayed at Camp Can’t Keep Up twice now, and have enjoyed each stay. This year, the hot water heater quit working during our stay. I contacted the owners before going out for the day. By the time we returned they had already been there and installed a new water heater. Very good people to work with. Unfortunately we didn’t find any sheds. But there is always next year!
Myself and 3 friends came to ride dual-sport motorcycles in the mountains. This camp is right on the BDRX route, but we also did a fair bit of just exploring and riding wherever the mountain roads took us. We stayed for 4 nights. This was a perfect place for us to plan our day trips and return to for dinner and to relax. The back porch swings and the sound of the creek in the back were nice. NOTE: You will need to bring your own linens and towels. The tap water did have a bit of a smell so also bring your own drinking water.
My son graduated from Penn State last weekend and instead of doing the traditional State College experience… we decided fly fishing and a remote getaway is just what the family needed. Our stay was perfect, even though it had rained the entire weekend.. it didn’t stop our fishing/relaxing. We headed into State College for the official graduation and returned afterwards. A weekend earned and time well spent celebrating successes. - Thank you!! - Amy
The cabin was spotless and sanitary. Our only complaint was cobwebs and dust on the taxidermied animals. The check-in process was easy. The photos on the listing show elk in the property yard. We talked to locals around the property and were told no elk have been seen in this area in 4 years. I am sure they are around, but we did not happen to see any at the property during our stay. Communication was clear with the property manager and they even sent links to local things to do in the area. The location is amazing off a dirt road with low traffic. The property also has a stream that runs along the backyard. One other complaint would be the lack of blinds on the windows.
