Disappointed

Posted 20-May-2016
From the outside the hotel was beautiful and perfectly located. We were then taken to the west wing, and given a room that was slightly wider than the double bed in it, with a view of the felt roof... we couldn't even see the sky! We soon realised breakfast wasn't included and we had to pay to use the pool! So all the benefits that made us overlook how much we paid for the room no longer existed. Really disappointed and relieved we only stayed for one night.

Good position for beach and shops

Posted 17-May-2016
Pros: Looks good on entering the hotel and all the staff were very friendly, were able to eat at the hotel which we did, grounds were nice and tidy
Cons: Nothing we could see but having to pay for the swimming I would expect would put people off, did mention the cold plates at breakfast thou.
Location: Close to beach and shops took a bus ride to Swanage which took about an hour nice way to see the surrounding countryside would highly recommend.
When we arrived we were up graded to executive room which was much bigger, only problem was that the windows did not close the noise of the traffic and room being quite cold. We did contact reception who said they would move us and we were put in a nice quiet room with a sea view so we were more than happy.

Great for a one night stay!!

First time staying in Bournemouth, this hotel has a superb location, a beautiful garden and fantastic views of the sea. Breakfast was great and complimentary check out till 11. Happy days :)

Hotel is big so are parking charges.

Posted 28-Apr-2016
Pros: Not a lot.
Location: Close to a pleasant beach.
Parking a car is expensive, £2 per hour from 8am to 11pm Our room was very small for a double. Toilet would not flush Lift to our 2nd floor room was not working and nobody offered to carry our bags (we are elderly 78 and 79 years of age). Next morning Cleaners were trying to access our room at 09.15 when we were booked to vacate our room by 10.00.

Very average - disappointing

Posted 19-Apr-2016
Pros: Good location
Cons: Décor a bit tired and worn. Room not very clean.
Location: Very good location near to the beach.
One of the reasons for selecting this hotel was the fitness centre, swimming pool and sauna. However, we were not aware until we arrived that there is a surcharge for using these facilities. The hotel advertisement is very misleading.

Watch out for the extras!

Posted 14-Apr-2016
Pros: Location near beach and centre
Hotel was reasonable price, but watch out for £20 parking charge, 50p debit card charge, £2 credit card charge, charges for use of leisure facilities, towels and lockers! I will not be staying there again.

Pros: as above
Cons: standard of club room
Location: Excellent location very close to beach and amenities
Very nice hotel. Decor a little tired, Great location. Relaxing atmosphere. We stayed in a club room despite being very cheap it was very disappointing, no window spoilt the stay. The spa was a real asset and we used it twice during the stay. evening buffet and breakfast was super in lovely surroundings, we will stay again when we return to Bournemouth but not in the cheaper room.

Lovely hotel, central to the town and theatres.

Posted 06-Apr-2016
Second time we have stayed at The Royal Bath, and each time we were very satisfied with our room and all the facilities. So convenient for town centre, the gardens, and theatre, all within a short walking distance.
