Great for a one night stay!!

First time staying in Bournemouth, this hotel has a superb location, a beautiful garden and fantastic views of the sea. Breakfast was great and complimentary check out till 11. Happy days :)

Hotel is big so are parking charges.

Posted 28-Apr-2016
Pros: Not a lot.
Location: Close to a pleasant beach.
Parking a car is expensive, £2 per hour from 8am to 11pm Our room was very small for a double. Toilet would not flush Lift to our 2nd floor room was not working and nobody offered to carry our bags (we are elderly 78 and 79 years of age). Next morning Cleaners were trying to access our room at 09.15 when we were booked to vacate our room by 10.00.

Very average - disappointing

Posted 19-Apr-2016
Pros: Good location
Cons: Décor a bit tired and worn. Room not very clean.
Location: Very good location near to the beach.
One of the reasons for selecting this hotel was the fitness centre, swimming pool and sauna. However, we were not aware until we arrived that there is a surcharge for using these facilities. The hotel advertisement is very misleading.

Watch out for the extras!

Posted 14-Apr-2016
Pros: Location near beach and centre
Hotel was reasonable price, but watch out for £20 parking charge, 50p debit card charge, £2 credit card charge, charges for use of leisure facilities, towels and lockers! I will not be staying there again.

Pros: as above
Cons: standard of club room
Location: Excellent location very close to beach and amenities
Very nice hotel. Decor a little tired, Great location. Relaxing atmosphere. We stayed in a club room despite being very cheap it was very disappointing, no window spoilt the stay. The spa was a real asset and we used it twice during the stay. evening buffet and breakfast was super in lovely surroundings, we will stay again when we return to Bournemouth but not in the cheaper room.

Lovely hotel, central to the town and theatres.

Second time we have stayed at The Royal Bath, and each time we were very satisfied with our room and all the facilities. So convenient for town centre, the gardens, and theatre, all within a short walking distance.

Ok hotel, close to town

Posted 04-Apr-2016
Hotel staff seemed quite snooty and hot very helpful. Rooms were not clear to locate and signs were also confusing. Room was clean though.bif you want a clean hotel next to town, it's convenient, but the staff is definitely not helpful.

Good location

Posted 29-Mar-2016
Pros: Location, character
We booked a cheap stay and was given a very small and dated room (nothing like the photos) and we had the worst 2 nights sleep because the floor boards in the hallway and above were so creeky/squeaky with people walking around. Also disappointed to find out when we arrived we had to pay extra to use the pool so overall I felt a bit mis-sold on this hotel... I'm sure the expensive rooms are nice though.

Historic hotel in a great location.

We enjoyed our stay at the Royal Bath Hotel. Great location for easy access to the beach, shopping, buses, gardens, Russell-Cotes Art Gallery & Museum, aquarium, the pier, etc. The pool area looked nice and we enjoyed the garden. They enjoyed a wonderful afternoon tea and each night we stopped at the bar for an after dinner drink. It is an old hotel that may be slightly worn in places, but the bed was very comfortable and the shower was good. We booked thru Expedia with our airline tickets at a very good price. We would stay there again.
