Wonderfully relaxing.

Best little place close to town with a view! If you are after a good nights sleep, a quiet environment and a friendly owner, then go there.

Silenzio e relax e mrs. Frances deliziosa owner

Posted 16-Aug-2016
Pros: Gestore, silenzio, panorama, confort
Cons: Rete accesso wifi

A Special Break

Posted 04-Jul-2016 on Hotels
Spectacular rural setting (but can be a little tricky to find!), just outside Exeter. Comfortable room. Very nice host. Lovely breakfast. Would happily return.

Lovely B&B in the Devon countryside

Posted 04-Jul-2016
Pros: Location, peacefulness, & host....
Cons: We liked it just as it was..
Location: We attended Races at Newton Abbot & a music event at nearby Powderham Castle. The house is close to Exeter.
Stayed for two nights whilst attending local events. The B&B wasn't easy to find at first but once there we loved it. This is a somewhat old-fashioned B&B run by a lovely lady. On arrival we were welcomed with tea & cake and chatted through our plans whilst sat in a conservatory overlooking beautiful peaceful countryside. Our room was traditionally furnished (twin beds) and very comfortable. Breakfast was terrific, best we've had during many hotel stays over the past few months. If you choose to stay here you need to know beforehand that the location is a little used narrow country lane at about 400yrs further up the lane that the Sat Nav thinks.

Atmosfera inglese piena di relax e pace

Posted 05-Jun-2016 on Hotels

Pleasant stay on a beautiful location.

Posted 16-May-2016
Pros: The entourage of an English cottage, so cozy and warm.
Cons: The Wi-Fi could be better, there was hardly any signal in the guestroom. But working on the kitchen table, close to the router, made it possible.
Location: The location is beautiful, such a sight and relaxation. A wonderful place to come to a rest. Close to the small town of Exminster and close to Exeter.
The Belvedere is a B&B with a beautiful view to the country sight; just outside Exminister, with the possibility to visit all kind of places in the neighborhood. After arriving, the welcome was very warm and friendly, together with a nice cup of tea and self-backed cake. Not really a place for a business stay, due to the Internet connection, but a place to stay for holiday or sightseeing.

Dissapointed with WIFI access

Posted 02-May-2016 on Hotels
disappointed with the wifi, business user advised when given the code for wifi signal not very good as at end of the line. If you already know this don't advertise wifi available in rooms please. could not use the wifi for business use, signal kept dropping and being kicked out. Otherwise owner was pleasant and welcoming, great views, good breakfast. didn't like the configuration of the separate bedroom from the bathroom both located directly off the owners breakfast lounge, have to go through lounge and kitchen to main entrance to the bungalow. access to the bungalow is via steep narrow farm road, be careful if you not use to these types of road there are no passing places. But got to say the location if your a walker is stunning on top of the hill. If you don't like cats also may need to avoid. The place will suit some people, particularly if your not on business. wouldn't want to put anyone off from staying as the owner is a really nice lady. Just some things need to be advertised in advance so you can make your own mind up if to book. e.g wifi signalnot good, cat on site, access via steep single track roads, need car to go for evening meals etc.

As this was a stop over I was not concerned about shopping sightseeing etc. The neighbourhood did not score full marks because I found it difficult to find. A sat nav is not terribly helpful. I am sure in the daylight it would be no problem.
