Booked sea view room was given what they called a garden room with balcony. The view was of two big trees the back of the hotel next door and the outside pool full of disgusting green water. The balcony itself was half flooded and if you looked over the edge it was like a builder yard. Got into bed that night and started itching woke up in the morning covered in bites. So in my view it is a dump that I would never visit again.

Nice but tired

Staff were friendly and the hotel was in a good location. It is however in need of modernisation.

Nice friendly hotel with above average facilities

Posted 20-Jun-2016 on Hotels
Nice big old hotel, with a slightly "seen better days" feel. Room was comfortable and clean, but probably needs a revamp. Staff were great. Bit noisy where i was with heavy firedoors and creaky floors outside my room announcing the arrival and departure of your fellow guests. Didn't bother me but if your a light sleeper it would annoy. Didn't really use the hotel facilities but had a nice indoor pool and regular entertainment which is good for that early in the season (May). About a 10 minute walk from the town centre and about 2 minutes from the beach which is fine. I would say if you don't like hills then the walk to the town centre would be a chore. Overall very decent hotel for the price if your not expecting the most modern decour

Cavendish Hotel 2 Night Stay

Posted 26-Apr-2016 on Hotels
2 night stay. Friendly staff. Cheap and cheerful stay. Room was tiny and cosy but was only a single bed room.Very clean. Stunning view. Shower leaked but was a power shower so was decent apart from the second night when there was no hot water or towels left in room. Shower early evening to avoid disappointment.First night heating in room was on full and couldn't turn it off. Had to sleep with windows open all night. Second night no heating at all but much preferred. A few issues but for £25 a night I suppose its expected. Would still recommend and would stay again.
