    About this property

Uninterrupted Sea Views Of This Fabulous South Devon Coastline

Waterfront Cottage with kitchen and fireplace
Sea views do not come much better than this. A great opportunity to holiday in a former coastguard cottage located in a tucked away setting, whist still enjoying easy access to the town's amenities and transport links. With spectacular and far reaching sea views across Dawlish beach out towards both Lyme bay and Torbay, the cottage is arranged over two floors and comprises kitchen, lounge, dining area, a master bedroom and two smaller bedrooms, all with double beds. With front and rear gardens there is also a handy storeroom where beach gear and bikes can be kept. And unique to most holiday properties we provide both BT Sport and all SKY Sports channels to the living room. The house sits 10 metres down from the Exeter Road, so there is no road noise and no parking within a 2-3 minute walk of the property. The house also sits 10 metres above the sea wall and so affords fantastic views whilst being protected from the big sea storms that can hit from time to time; the cottages have never been flooded in their history. For those of a nervous disposition, the wall to the terrace garden has a 10 metre drop on the sea side down to the railway line, so toddlers, children, teenagers and irresponsible adults need to be both watched and aware. However, all that being noted we guarantee these views will captivate you as they have, and still do, for us.
Guest accommodation at this cottage offers fireplaces and DVD players. Kitchens offer fridges, hobs, microwaves and separate dining areas.
Bathrooms include a combined bath/shower unit and a hairdryer. Additionally, rooms include coffee/tea makers and an iron/ironing board.
The recreational activities listed below are available either on-site or nearby; fees may apply.

      A Welcome Retreat

Beautiful property, quiet secluded location, amazing sea views.

      5/5 Excellent

On the whole very good, television reception was not good at times. The cottage was as described, the only drawback was no parking (to be fair we did know this) and lots of steps and or steep slopes to gain access

        5/5 Excellent

Fantastic place to stay in Dawlish, the cottage is beautiful everything you could possibly need. Views from the terrace are amazing. Walk to the property will keep you fit but it sure is worth it to get to such a hidden gem. Will definitely return one day!

          5/5 Excellent

Wonderful location, brilliant views and a lovely cosy apartment.

A great place to stay for peace and quiet and just to watch the world go by. If you love good food go to Rodean Restaurant, ten minutes away or the Crab Shack in Teignmouth, around 15 minutes, both by car. Lovely walks in the country or by the sea, enjoy.

            5/5 Excellent

The property was idyllic. The best place to stay if want to experience the Jurassic coastline.

We have visited this part of Devon, for family holidays, for over ten years. This was undoubtedly our best trip to date due to the stunning positioning, views, interior and overall feel of this property. Plenty of space within, lots of comforts, the property feels like a true home from home. Great location for Dawlish centre, close walking distance and also great to get the train from. Very quiet and peaceful, very low road noise, the lapping on the waves is the overall background noise. Literally a stones throw to the beach. Very comprehensive property manual and document, also the owner is a pleasure to deal with. Could not recommend this property enough. Gavin Hopper
