5/5 Excellent

Excellent accommodation for a family holiday.
We had a great week staying at Prospect House, we were a party of 8 on a family holiday. House had lots of room for everyone and hot tub was a nice bonus. Location is excellent and local pub and fish and chips are a must. Would definitely recommend

5/5 Excellent

A lovely village and a lovely place to stay
This is a great location with easy access to a river - which is great fun for the children. We had a great time. It is lovely to get away with family. Local chip shop is great!

5/5 Excellent

Family reunion
12 of us enjoyed a fantastic holiday. We were a group of grandparents parents and 6 grandchildren age range 7 years to 69 years. The property was big enough for all of us and is full of character. Although there isn't a lot of outside space the courtyard is a real suntrap and was in constant use together with the hot tub. The weather was sunny and warm every day and we visited Durham Whitby, Richmond and High Foss Waterfall. Lovely riverside walks from the doorstep kept our dogs happy. Overall this was the perfect place to get together after a horrible lockdown year.

5/5 Excellent

Lovely village
Great position on the green in a really pretty village. Lovely walks for myself and our dogs. The house is spacious and enjoyed the separate TV room to stop any arguments. The hot tub looked great but we didn't use it. Good communications with Sarah

5/5 Excellent

Lovely, spacious house in a charming and very tranquil location
We enjoyed staying here very much - a charming location and a very comfortable, well appointed house. The only cause of regret and disappointment (which, needless to say, was not something for which the house or our host could be said to be to blame) was the unfortunate timing of the week we chose to stay: utterly dreadful weather conditions for all but one day, and this in the last week of August. There is much to see in the Teesdale and Weardale valleys, but the pleasure of enjoying them is somewhat diminished by seeing them all through sheets of unrelenting rain. That apart, a wonderful base from which to explore the moors of North Yorkshire and County Durham.
