It was only three minutes from the train station, which was exactly what I was looking for. The location was beautiful, right next to a stunning Gothic cathedral, and the hotel itself was easy to find. Once inside, the staff was very professional and welcoming. They directed us to the elevator (lift) to reach the fifth floor; however, the elevator only went up to the fourth floor, so we had to climb one additional flight of stairs. The room itself was very nice, and overall I had a great experience. I could barely get in the bathroom because the door hinged the wrong way! How it is even allowed to operate with an elevator that exits BETWEEN floors is beyond me? We did not realize however that some rooms are not part of the main hotel and you need to exit the hotel and go to a different building to access your room. You will also have to walk up a couple flights of stairs depending on your room location. The room has no phone to contact the front desk if needed. It was extremely warm in the room which forced us to keep the windows open. The lighting in the room is terrible and it was extremely noisy due to outside noise. Our room was above a restaurant and store and across from a bar. Keep that in mind if you don’t want to stay somewhere noisy. The front desk staff were pleasant.
