Se reservó para pagar en el hotel pues no me querían dar habitación por qué se les llenó el hotel y mi habitación se ocupó que intentaron hacer cobro sin éxito y le digo pero mi reservación era para pagar a mi llegada no antes y aún así no me marcaron para notificarme que no había habitaciones al final de espera si me dieron una habitación. Pero el mal rato nadie me lo quita

Poor service first night we asked for a second coffee mug two person room w one mug second day we didn’t have towels we call the front desk and didn’t receive them until 6 hours later. Made us late for a event we had.😡 rest of our stay was ok

Nice hotel in a not so great city
The other reviews, that this is a formerly prominent hotel that is trying to make it, are generally accurate. It is a bit far from the more commercial parts of Coatzalcoalcos, but since Coatzalcoalcos is one of the most horrible places I have been in Mexico, its distance is a plus. I stayed for only one night, wish it had been more.

With hot weather was looking forward to usisng the pool however it looked like it needed maintenance so didn’t use it. Also towels in the hotel were very old. Staff were friendly

I liked the location, along an estuary/river. It is quite quiet. We liked that it had a window that opened, an a good screen on the windows. I didn't like the road to the hotel - full of potholes. I didn't like the smell in the restaurant. The bathroom in our room smelled of urine. We wiped it down with soap and water and it still smelled bad, so we kept the exhaust fan on all night. The hotel is run down and needs a lot of maintenance.

I really like the property and hotel, but very disappointed about the fact of smoking in their rooms, they were some people smoking in the rooms in top , so all of the smoke came into our room, so I don’t think I’ll stay again in the hotel

Great stay in Mexico.
For the area it is definitely a nice hotel. Lots of variety when it comes to their food offerings and staff were all very friendly. We saw a gigantic lizard outside our hotel room which was awesome.

The Terranova was once the Belle of Coatzacoalcos hotels. Lack of business has created lack of funds for general maintenance or improvements which makes it harder to attract needed customers. The air conditioning system needs much improvement still. The once beautiful grounds are much in need of care. The breakfast buffet has been discontinued and the 24/7 room service closes at 2 am. The staff has always been very cordial and goes extra mile to accommodate requests. During the difficult times, I feel like they are doing their best to hang on.

Safe place.

The hotel needs lots of maintenance. The floors had broken tiles, bathroom showers were backing up, doors were loose rom the hinges, they didn’t leave enough towels for the number of people in the rooms, pool was not clean. Service was great staff was very helpful and accommodating. Lots of greenery and trees. Hammocks and other relaxing items could be added for enjoyment.

They have spent the money and effort for a nice update of the rooms. How about you at least take a hose to the outside of the room windows. That is basic maintenance. Toilet was leaking badly from base. This is something housekeeping had to have noticed. So, why was it not repaired ? Service in the restaurant is still painfully slow. Has always been this way in the 8 years I have been coming to this property. These things I have listed are easy to fix. Just needs a bit of attention from management. I have always liked the peacefulness and beauty of the location, and the staff has always been cordial and helpful.

I'm not happy with the downgrading of the hotel.
The hotel has downgraded. They don't have in room refrigerator, shower plastic mat. The windows were dirty. I have stayed here over the past years but it's not kept up as before.

My husband and I are seniors and there is no elevator, but the stairs are with marble floor and have NO RAILS. The bar area has a step, that is hugher than it should be, unnoticible, with no lights, or sign of it's existence, I had a terrible fall coming in(My husband was warching the Super Bowl in the huge T. V.). I asked fir there First Aid Kit. The hotel does not have a First Aid Kit. It is located about 15 minutes or more from the City. They provided a regular bag of ice. No one apologized fir the lack of safety in the hitel. There are different levels almost everywhere. It has a beautuful location, but with my knee and leg hurt, and no elevator, I was not pleased. Since we were a big group, several times we were overcharged, and had to go over the charges. At checkout, we could not get a print out of the charges, or any paperwork, since they saud tgey had no printer wirking, but said they would sen it to me the following day. We checked iut the 8th. and still the printout of the charges has not arrived in my e-mail.

Business/Pleasure. Brought my wife and young daughters. The girls love the pool and play area. Pool was not bad , but play equipment covered with mildew. Easy to clean. Lack of maintenance. As always at Terranova, service in restaurant is slow but friendly. Restaurant manager needs training in sanitary table settings. Property is in great location on river. Only needs refurbishing.

Was surprised how much property has run down in three years since my last stay. Much in need of renovation. Has air of mediocrity. Staff at desk still cordial and helpful. Restaurant staff are rather slow and inefficient. Tablecloths are only a nice touch if they are clean. Not reused and folded over . This disgusting practice shows poor management. Pool is okay for adults and children. Area could use some maintaining. Children's play set was dirty with much mildew. Should not be too much trouble to keep play set clean and guest children safe. This hotel is in a good location along river. Property has great potential. Seems to be living on past reputation.

We check in and found severak flying insects so we moved rooms. We came to get our car and it would not Start.Valet said he forgot to report it so we spent over 2 hours at auto zone.Asked for money exchange which is a service offered but only 11 pesos per dollar 4 pesos under the normal rate. When we returned back to hotel to swim pool was closed at 8pm. Went to bar ordered 4 beers , they said they would have them delivered. 1 hour later went back to bar, bartender said waiter forgot. Property is old but nice.Bed is VERY uncomfortable and no premium linens as advertised. Overall very bad experience would not stay there.

we stayed here in May of 2015 rooms clean and comfortable. We had room service which arrived quickly and was delicious!! This hotel is dog friendly which was great for us however since we had a service dog they put us way at end of hallway seemed liked we walked forever which is my wife's disability unable to walk long distance also no way to walk dog outside without going all way back through front entrance. We had breakfast buffet we were very disappointed with this since supper night before was excellent.This is an older hotel but well maintained.
