courtyard in the family farm in the village of Yealand which is an area
of outstanding beauty along with the neighbouring coastal villages of
Silverdale and Arnside in the South Lakes. This comfortable and homely
accommodation has character features and is in a lovely setting
surrounded by fields and delightful walks. On entering the cottage
there is an open plan kitchen, diner, lounge. This dog friendly cottage
has been thoughtfully and tastefully presented throughout and there is
wonderful walking from the door to discover this hidden gem of an area.
On the first floor, there are two bedrooms, a twin that is spacious
with fitted wardrobes to the front of the property with long reaching
views to lakeland fells and to the front overlooking the courtyard in
the double bedroom. The stylish modern bathroom has a bath with shower
over and heated towel rail. There are also laundry facilities with
washing machine and dryer which are shared with the coach house 1 which
is just to the right of the entrance.
Outside in the attractive courtyard enjoy the peace and birdsong or you
may have one of the inquisitive farm hens keeping an eye on you. There
is outdoor seating to and enjoy alfresco coffee or something strong in
the evening when warmer to enjoy the tranquillity and bird song. This
family owned farm and holiday accommodation is in a lovely spot in
beautiful countryside in the south lakes with an abundance of local
places to explore yet is very well located to explore both the Lake
District National Park or fringes of Yorkshire and Lancashire too.
