Nice hotel, close to the Millennium Centre

Posted 25-Jul-2016
We stayed here for 1 night before a Graduation Ceremony at the Millennium Centre. Ample free parking on site, it's only a short 6/7 minute stroll to the Centre. The double room has large comfortable beds and a nice en suite bathroom with handy magnified shaving/make-up mirror. The shower is in the bath with mixer tap. Wardrobe space is small, but adequate for a short stay. Didn't use the bar or restaurant so can't comment on those. The room's Air conditioning wasn't adjustable below 19 degrees, so it was warmer than we preferred but not unbearable. Couldn't leave the window open because of the sound of the traffic on the busy road outside which isn't audible with the window closed. Maybe the staff can adjust the AirCon level but didn't bother asking at 10-30 pm on return from the Bay. Free ice machine on 1st floor helps cool your drinks. Nice hotel, got a discount advance booking offer, don't think I'd pay the full price. Not bad, but stayed in better hotels for less money.

One night stay in Cardiff

Posted 22-Jul-2016
Pros: It is modern, clean and well equipped.
Location: Location is near Leisure Amusement Park. But we were too tired to go there.
We were coming back from Skomer Island after spending almost one whole day there. We have chosen to stay one night in Cardiff instead of Bristol as it is one hour drive less. Also, we wanted to visit the Cardiff Castle. The hotel is modern and nice. It is not close to the city center but have shops nearby.

Good overnight stay

Posted 21-Jul-2016
Had a good overnight stay at this hotel. Staff very welcoming and efficient even though we arrived at 11.15pm. Comfortable room with good facilities only minus was early morning noise from dustbins being put out.

Zentral in der Bay gelegen

Posted 20-Jul-2016

GOOD UPMARKET BUDGET HOTEL

Posted 15-Jul-2016
Pros: Communal areas, and where it was situated.
Cons: Bath towels hard and scratchy... Pillows hard
Location: Right near the Bay, excellent Miller and Carter restaurant adjacent
I have scored this hotel against what it is and the prices charged. It is extremely good value and a good comfortable hotel... rooms on a par if not a bit better than a Premier Inn and the communal areas/bar/restaurant etc., are excellent. Free Wifi, great for an overnight or a bit longer if exploring the area. Well situated just on the edge of the Bay area so you dont get all the hustle and bustle. Only thing I could mark them down on was the towels were a bit rough and scratchy and the pillows hard, but then thats a personal thing!

Great location

Posted 13-Jul-2016
Great location very near the millennium centre. Free parking which is very useful in this location. However I was told I couldn't leave. my car past the checkout time which is impractical if you are staying there in preparation for a commitment the next day - nowhere convenient to move the car to. It would be much more sensible to aĺlow car parking eg for the rest occthe working day on morning of checkout. The resulting inconvenience spoiled my experience a little. Otherwise the hotel is great.
