Comfortable stay

Posted 25-Apr-2016
Friendly staff, comfortable room and loads of parking. The only downside is its near a very busy road and you can hear the traffic as a distant noise at rush hour. Highly recommended

It was okay.

Nothing really wrong with the hotel. Free parking is always handy. The check in was painless and quick. We found our room. Hotel smelt clean. Into our room and the double bed was made up as was the sofa bed. Sofa bed was very soft. Horrible to sleep in. Bathroom was okay. I'm not a fan of seperate toilet/bathroom with one door used to split them. Room was noisy over night - the factory over the road was beeping, alarms, engines etc all night. Seriously need better windows. We were on the sixth floor but it was still noisy. We didn't have breakfast. The walk into Cardiff Bay was 10 mins. Cheaper breakfast and a great view of the water. Would I stay there again? Not my first choice but it was okay.

Pros: Agreeable to me
Cons: Cyclic maintenance, lots of hinges loose, drawers wobbly. Door readers frequently don't work.
Good sign, chirpy staff, no issues. Room was clean but lacked the edge to score above 4.

Nice hotel close to the bay.

Pros: Quiet and relaxing.
Cons: The room got very hot during the night even though A/C unit turned down and unable to open any windows.
Location: Lots of attractions nearby and as mentioned not far from the city centre.
Hotel centrally situated, good motorway links not far from the city centre and lots of restaurants within easy reach.

Great hotel walking distance to Cardiff Bay

Posted 12-Apr-2016
Stayed with my daughter for 2 nights in Easter Hols. We had a suite (I think they may all be suites as we didn't request one). Very clean. Comfy bed 2 TV's, fridge in lounge area. WiFi. Walking distance to the Bay and Dr Who Exoerience (which was very good). Great restaurants nearby. Also 5 mins to Cinema and Bowling complex. Would recommend.

Nice budget hotel. Not a 4-star hotel. Check in was ok. There was a line with one person working at the desk. The walls in room need to be washed of stains and the refrigerator cleaned before guests stay in room. Room was spacious with king bed but very dark and needs more light. Breakfast was overpriced with a very limited selection of items. Waited over 5 1/2 hours for room to be cleaned after initially asking for it to be cleaned. Check out wasn't until 12 noon and housekeeping showed up at 11:00 am knocking on the door. Enjoyed the complimentary items.

Close to Cardiff Bay

Finding the hotel was the worst part - our GPS was off ever so slightly, and even though we could see the hotel, we just couldn't seem to figure out the sequence of streets that would get us there. It took passing it twice before we found the turn on the third try. Check-in was easy, we ordered room service which came very quickly, and everything was great. The staff allowed us to leave our car in the lot after check-out while we hunted down some lunch.

Pros: Free parking and price
Cons: Choice of soft or hard pillows
Location: Cardiff Bay on your doorstep
Good hotel, bit on a level with a new Premier Inn although I think the rooms slightly better equipped.. found the bed and especially the pillows a bit on the hard side, but thats really a personally choice thing. Bar areas etc.,are really nice and great for relaxing in... didnt eat in the restaurant but looked very nice. Slightly cheaper than many hotels but dont be put off by the price, it really is extremely comfortable and well maintained. Free wifi and also free parking!
