34 High Street is a delightful cottage within the pretty village of Bridge

Family-friendly holiday home in Canterbury with free parking
A beautiful Grade II Listed cottage, dating back to the 1700's. The cottage has been beautifully refurbished and is set in the heart of Bridge Village, situated just 2.5 miles outside the stunning City of Canterbury. The village is in the Nailbourne valley, a quiet rural setting surrounded by farmland, yet with excellent links to London and Dover. The village has 3 supurb pubs along the High Street, as well as a delightful coffee shop, a local shop, post office, pharmacy and hairdressers.
As our guests will appreciate once they arrive, the cottage is an elderly building with plenty of original features. We have chosen to present the cottage with a contemporary feel, which we think compliments the living space. On entering the cottage, the lounge provides a warm and cosy space to relax, with a wood burning stove for the colder evenings. There is a dining area within the lounge for guests to sit and eat. The kitchen is set at the back of the cottage, with lovely views of the cottage garden and provides a practical space with all necessary amenities. Outside, the cottage has a really beautiful cottage garden to the rear, with two patio areas designed for seating and relaxing. Back inside, the stairs leading up to the first floor of the cottage are steep, due to the buildings age and care must be taken when going up and down the stairs. On the first floor there is a well proportioned bathroom with shower, and the front facing master bedroom. On the second floor is the second bedroom, with two single beds, bedside table and a chest of drawers.
Guest accommodation at this holiday home offers fireplaces and coffee/tea makers. Kitchens offer fridges, hobs, microwaves and kitchenware and utensils. Bathrooms include a combined bath/shower unit and hairdryers.

Guests can surf the web using complimentary wireless Internet access. Smart televisions are featured in guestrooms.

The recreational activities listed below are available either on-site or nearby; fees may apply.

4/5 Good

Excellent position, parking around village although not difficult.
Interesting property, nice garden, good inventory, but no manual for equipment. Stairs are entertaining, not for the infirm or difficulty with balance.

Wonderful cottage, located in a beautiful village near Canterbury and the coast. The cottage is very well equipped and beautifully decorated. The garden is lovely, really well designed and landscaped. We did not want to leave. We will definitely return. Thanks for such a wonderful relaxing break.

Perfect little cottage in a lovely village
Super clean and fresh, a very comfortable bed with soft linens & towels. Lovely touches to welcome us (wine/milk/tea/coffee/crisps/biscuits). Very snug but very cosy! The stairs are steep so might have been tricky for someone injured or elderly. We’ll be back. Thank you Kerry-Anne!

Perfect for our needs
A cute little property with everything we needed for our stay. The welcome gift was wonderful and much appreciated. The cleanliness of the property was great. Lots of useful things were available at the home. Perhaps a clothes dryer could be a good addition (unless there is already one that we didn’t find!) The inside stairs are very steep but handrails helped the climb. Cottage Location was perfect. Bridge is a very nice little village. The Christmas trees hanging from the homes in the high street was lovely and festive. Overall an excellent cottage. We will return 😀
