My needs were adjusted accordingly immediately by the receptionist. The room was clean and comfortable. I would recommend to anyone looking for a competitive hotel to stay there. I'm definitely going back in the future.
Excellent but very slightly dated hotel but very close to football ground ,shops and several eateries. All staff were very friendly and helpful nothing too much trouble.
Unfortunately the room and bathroom smelt of ammonia, grout was missing in bathroom floor tiles. No plug for washbasin. Bed was awful as mattress sank very badly into the middle.
Staff were very pleasant and welcoming, room was spacious and clean. Nice deep bath with decent water pressure and water nice and hot. Bed was very comfortable. Great selection at breakfast and bar/dining area was lovely. Plenty of onsite parking. I would stay again and recommend.

Very happy. Nice breakfast . Good bar.
Staff were amazing.
Really comfy room. Hot shower.
Take a portable heater if you don’t want to stay in a freezing cold room. Advised by hotel receptionist that radiator may take up to an hour to heat up once turned on. 3.5 hours later and radiator was still cold. At this point, he established that there was a problem but unfortunately do to the hotel being fully booked, another room could not be offered to me so I slept in a cold room for the night.
Hotel was clean and comfortable, but very noisy. The window was an old-fashioned sash, which let in a lot of traffic noise. Also the room next door was still noisy at midnight. There were several males in the room talking. I asked to be moved to a quieter room. This was round the back so I wasn’t kept awake by the traffic, but another room close by had the TV on loudly until past 4 am. I expect reasonable noise on a Saturday night, but this wasn’t reasonable, as I needed to get up early.
very dated room in poor condition. poor quality second choice pint as first was unavailable in the bar and ordered a pizza as half the menu was unavailable, was just an ovened frozen job for £11.
If you wish to witness people shooting up in front of you then this is your place. The room stank of chlorine and bleach with visible blood marks on the walls, and yet the loo had fresh skid marks in it. Poor staff - they really do try their best but appear to be defeated by what surrounds them.

Room was functional and very clean but what let it down was, there was no food. On line a restaurant is advertised and when i turned up there were signs everywhere pushing the new menu but when i asked, i was told there were no staff and thus no food. The man there was very helpful and suggested McDonald's, KFC or a local curry house. I chose the latter and it was disgusting
Stayed there Sat 5th Aug 2023 for 1 night only, glad it was only 1 night too. No soap in dispenser, no light bulbs, tv remote not working, shaver socket not working, lumpy bed. Complained to Stefan the manager who replied eventually.
Would never stay there again, spoiled our weekend.
We enjoyed our 2 night stay at queensgate hotel as it was conveniently located. Overall for the price we paid it was worth it however must admit the mattresses has seen better days and could do with new ones. I was tempted to turn it to the other side in the middle of the night but didn’t want to disturb my husband.
Secondly Glad I brought my own portable fan as there is no air con in the rooms and it gets very hot in the night.
Would recommend this hotel and hoping to return and maybe the mattresses will by then been replaced. Thank you
