Hostel was basic but had everything we needed. Staff were all very friendly. Location ok but arrived 8pm so couldn't have food there and had to drive to find somewhere to eat. (about 20mins)

Ideal location for climbing Snowdon
The hostel was as you would expect of a hostel the only real bad thing was the smell of fumes that flooded into our room overnight from a oil powered generator that was close to the room, this was a bit concerning as we both woke in the morning with headaches (room 12) we did speak to the staff and they were aware of the problem. The area was quiet as you would expect from the base of snowdon. For £50 it was expensive for a youth hostel but the draw of this place is the location.

Ok for a night
The hostel is good for what we needed, which was a roof over our heads before we went up snowdon. The room was ok, smelt a bit damp and the bed wasn't the comfiest. For a hostel in the middle of nowhere, there was some real noise from residents outside the building in the early hours that was allowed to happen so not much sleep had.
