Great room so close to town

Posted 30-Aug-2015
The room was beautiful and comfortable. I had a small issue with wifi connection in my first room and after notifying the owner I was quickly moved to a room with a better connection. The owner and the manager were both super lovely people. Perfect location, so close to town and the beach. Always free parking out the front. I would not hesitate to stay again on my next visit!

Not what we expected.

Not really a hotel or a B&B. Nice room, but not what we were looking for.

Kein Hotel. Nur Zimmer

Posted 30-May-2015
Ansonsten toll zentral gelegen.

Don't Stay Here - Deceiving, Expensive and Noisy!

Posted 25-May-2015 on Wotif
Pros: It is contemporary like the images. That's where any luxury ends.
Cons: Everything - not worth what is being charged. Expect much cheaper for this given its noisy, full of mozzies, inconveniences etc...
My husband and I thought this looked very nice (contemporary) and booked it expecting something special. We were seriously disappointed as it was basically a very expensive room in a very noisy guest house. We paid 'alot of money' considering what we got - which was a double bed in a small room with a very poky ensuite (you had to close the door to open the shower screen) and it had one million mozzies in the room. There are alot of rules and regulations which is a pain. There is no parking despite advertised, no Foxtel and a really bad TV (not that we needed that but people might understandably expect or like that). There are four rooms on the ground floor - all will no kitchen facilities (except a kettle). The back one has a kitchen and the upstairs rooms have full unit facilities. The worst part was how noisy it was. Not just people coming and going but the people staying in the top unit did their washing and drying all night and that kept us awake as well as them dragging furniture on floor. After a very sleepless night we left at 7am. Its worth noting that I phoned and checked and the motel across the way is half the price and has usual privacy, proper conveniences one would expect. Also - we paid top dollar as owner left peak prices on Wotif - so if you must stay here - call them direct first. They gave us no refund on that.

Serviced by backpackers

Posted 05-May-2015 on Wotif
The facilities had the potential to offer a comfortable stay however the only point of contact was with a young backpacker who was in charge of servicing and cleaning the apartment and did so very poorly. Amenities were lacking, requests were not addressed until half a day later despite her residing on the premises, security was insufficient and exiting the premises was unnecessary complicated. Would not recommend to anyone.

Not recommended.

We are a Brisbane couple that travels frequently to Byron Bay. We usually stay in other Motel and lodges around the city, but because we didnt book in advance, one weekend we couldn't book at our usual accommodation and ended booking at Bay Haven. What we got was a pricey small room in a old balinese themed house which zero privacy. The room only had a small window (deluxe suite) that at times make you feel claustrophobia. There is no fridge in the room, so you have to share a fridge with other guests. Parking is non-secure outside the house. Bathroom smell and was covered with lime scale. No sight of the rainfall showerhead advertised. You can get better money value in the Motel across the street.

Sorry you were unhappy with our Guesthouse. The Deluxe is our most affordable, entry level room type with all the basic facilities needed. All our rooms have windows which do open to provide light and fresh air There is shared sunroom with view of the garden for all guests to use. We do have more spacious rooms and off road parking (grand and superior suites only). I was unaware of any smell/lime scale if so this would have been dealt with asap.

Teuer, luxuriös aber nicht sauber

Sehr schöne Ausstattung, für den Preis aber lässt die Sauberkeit zu wünschen übrig. Schöne Lage in Byron Bay

Nice but small

Pros: Clean and very close to Johnson street
Cons: TV is super high on the wall and gives you a bad neck watching it
Was good, but very small rooms.... bit weird overall
