Alistair gave us lots of very helpful information about beautiful local walks, along with excellent maps and detailed instructions. The village is great with several nice places to eat (again Tricia and Alistair gave us excellent advice), and a local bakery which will make you a packed lunch for your walks. The common area is top notch; clean and well appointed. Our en-suite room was also furnished with antiques and new bathroom fixtures. The owners are very engaging and greeted us with tea and cakes. It is located in the center of town and you can reach several pubs and restaurants within a five minute walk. The town is also centrally located within the Peak District if you are exploring the general area.
