The Barley Mow is a tastefully furnished pub with rooms. From the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed. Our room was beautifully clean with a comfy bed. Complimentary toiletries and biscuits were a nice touch. The menu was very well thought out catering for all food types. The food was outstanding, the best pub grub we have had by far! All the staff are an absolute credit to the place and they create such a wonderful vibe! Hotel is cosy and warm on entering. Log burners burning. Our evening meal was average in my opinion. My steak baguette had onions that were Luke warm, as were the beans at breakfast. Breakfast took an age to arrive. Our room was nice except for paint peeling from a chimney breast I think. Overall it suited our needs for 1 night.
