Any issues handled brilliantly. Was moved quickly to a new room when there was an issue with the original one.

Ok if you have a room with aircon

Posted 26-Jul-2016
Pros: The grounds were lovely. Fine in rooms if you have aircon.
Cons: Aircon in all rooms.
Location: Good for location close to our wedding venue.
Daughters room very hot, we had aircon and assumed they would all have it. Corridor very hot. No one to help with luggage to upper floors with no lift. Lovely grounds.

Big old shambling but pleasing presence

Posted 29-Jun-2016
Pros: Solitude
Cons: Prices of drinks in bar are extortionate but monopoly Four star hotel should have modern large beds!!!!
Location: Great for noisy Airport and lovely Slough!
A bit like faulty towers - some things work others don't

Very difficult check in for weary traveler!

Arrived late and exhausted. I had to effectively check in twice as somehow the first time hadn't registered. No curtains so had to have black out while showering on a hot sunny morning.

Beautiful hotel, friendly staff and great location

Stayed here previously in a very small but comfortable room however on this occasion we were given an upgrade and had a very spacious room overlooking the lawn. The room had a roll top bath which sat in the bay window and a lovely large walk in shower. The room was however too warm and the old sash and case windows would not stay open unless wedged up. Air conditioning would have completed a lovely experience

Expensive Hotel

Posted 11-May-2016 on Hotels
Room was on the small side and way too hot - no way of cooling it down as no air conditioning or fan. Sash window only opened max 6 inches to the sound of some type of refrigeration motor outside that kept coming on throughout the night. Bar food and drinks were expensive - £5.10 for a pint of lager! £14.50 for a warm home made burger and 9 nearly-cooked chunky chips I have stayed at many 4 star hotels that offer much better value than this one. Sorry, but I would not want to stay here again.
