Any issues handled brilliantly. Was moved quickly to a new room when there was an issue with the original one.

Ok if you have a room with aircon

Posted 26-Jul-2016
Pros: The grounds were lovely. Fine in rooms if you have aircon.
Cons: Aircon in all rooms.
Location: Good for location close to our wedding venue.
Daughters room very hot, we had aircon and assumed they would all have it. Corridor very hot. No one to help with luggage to upper floors with no lift. Lovely grounds.

Big old shambling but pleasing presence

Posted 29-Jun-2016
Pros: Solitude
Cons: Prices of drinks in bar are extortionate but monopoly Four star hotel should have modern large beds!!!!
Location: Great for noisy Airport and lovely Slough!
A bit like faulty towers - some things work others don't

Alternative to airport hotels

Posted 27-Mar-2016 on Hotels
We spent the last night of a recent trip at this "old-style" hotel to be close to Heathrow but in quiet surroundings. It actually sits in a rural setting at the end of a narrow lane despite being only about ten miles from the airport. Need GPS/Satnav or a good map to find it. No lift to our "first floor" room, but not a problem for us. Room and bathroom clean, well-lit, nicely furnished, up-to-date, and quiet. Upscale dining room at the hotel looked elegant with menu to match, but we ate a good local pub that evening. Lots of parking. Drive to Heathrow in very early morning before rush hour took about 25 minutes. Took A4 not the M which took us past several petrol stations and fairly directly to rental car return. A very good alternative to airport hotels, and would stay again.

Reasonable size pool, ENORMOUS burger (size and price), expensive breakfast (£12 for a continental, really?), could not get laptop onto the WiFI (phone was fine). There is little mobile phone coverage in the hotel area (and none in my room).

Relaxing place, rooms slightly small

Just on business, this was adequate in relaxed surroundings. Noise from corridors and room doors evident.

Great fantastic Bar and Restaurant.

Posted 07-Mar-2016
Pros: Bar, Room
Cons: The front doors
Good car park but a sign on the road would help. Check in fast. Bar and lounge warm and friendly. Food good. Room good bed comfy. Shower good In short great
