A nice cottage in a fantastic location!

We had a fantastic weeks holiday here. We were joined during the week by our parents, and found that there was plenty of space in the cottage for us all. The cottage was generally clean, and well equipped. We spent quite a lot of time at the beach, making use of the bodyboards that had been provided and trying our hand at crabbing. From our experience we would suggest going crabbing early in the morning from the side of the River Neet, at the point where it goes out to the sea, and using bacon as a lure. To my sons delight, we caught over 15 crabs doing just this! We didn't need to use our car all week as there is plenty to do within easy walking distance of the cottage. We cycled along the beautiful Cornish coast, rowed down the peaceful Bude Canal and segway-ed around the delightful countryside. My daughter made a wonderful fused glass item at Beau Nidol and my son enjoyed learning about the Bude Formation on the geological walk with Dr. Roger Higgs. In addition, we would also recommend a walk along the Bude Canal to the Weir Cafe and eating at the Bank at Bude where the tapas are cocktails are not to be missed.
