lovely days in Bucharest

The hotel was really clean and nice, although the road was bit busy so that I woke up sometimes at night. And it has good access to everywhere in Bucharest. There are several bakeries and small shops around the hotel.

Scelto perché non caro, non vale più soldi

La mia camera, al quinto piano non era pulitissima ma c'era tutto il necessario. L'ascensore funziona solo tra il secondo e il quarto piano, mentre la connessione wi-fi era del tutto assente - e avevo scelto questo hotel proprio perché aveva il wi-fi e non solo il cavo.

Excellent value

Simple but comfortable hotel in a great location. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and spoke both English and Romanian. Highly recommended for the price.

doeltreffend en basic. oud maar schoon

dit hotel is uit de oude tijd en dat zie je ook wel aan het interieur. voor een efficiënt verblijf echter zeer geschikt. gewoon schoon maar wel oud. geweldig sanitait. simpel doeltreffend schoon en erg heet, zowel water als temperatuur. dicht bij de binnenstad en met een gezellig cafe (apart van hotel) beneden voor sociaal kontakt met de lokale mensen.

This hotel is located in central area. Its very old and not well maintained. Rooms need to be refurnished.

Basic hotel with good location

The hotel is located about 5 minutes walk from M2 metro station Universtate. You can't miss it. It is basically a renovated old apartment so you may be surprised by its old elevator and antique furnitures. WiFi on the upper levels is not good. You may need to stay in the lobby if you need to work with internet on. The bathroom in my 3rd floor room has no ventilation.

Great short stay

Surprisingly great place - definitely a dated and old building with older furniture - but considering value for money and the location it was perfect. Staff were great, rooms were big and well-lit and the location was perfect.

Ideal for tourists

Efficient reception. Clean and comfortable room. About 4 minutes walk to the Metro for easy access to the tourist sites of the city. Anglican church (Services in English) about ten minutes walk. Not far from Lipscani, with good restaurants, bistros and a vibrant night life.

Primo e quinto piano sprovvisti di ascensore. Camere vecchie e sporche. Posizione buona. Non hanno fatto uno straccio di documento fiscale. Da evitare assolutamente.

Good situation, large room

very nice hotel, taxi always in front (not at all the case of all hotels even more luxury ones), and taxi are very cheap so this is also a good point. At 1 minute walk from University (one of the central areas of the city). Furniture quite old in the room but this is not important, good points: ceiling is hight , high windows, lot of windows, view is good on a place, not noisy, not smoking problems, balcony ...

Decent hotel about 5-10 minutes walk from old town, but far enough away to be out of the hustle and bustle. Stayed twice at the beginning and end of a 2 week trip to Romania and like the place. A few dodgy marks on the seats in one room, but overall fine.

Banat oli oikeastaan juuri sitä mitä osasi odottaa kuvauksen ja arvioiden perusteella. Vanha ja omalla tavallaan viehättävä rakennus loistavalla paikalla. Moni paikka kaipaisi pientä laittoa ja esim. huoneen lattia oli todella pölyinen (katupölyä) ja matot likaisia. Hintansa arvoinen. Aamupala ei kuulunut hintaan vaikka piti kuulua.
