Perfect place to stay for a city break

Posted 18-Oct-2016
Location: Located well for bars, restaurants and shopping and very close to harbour. Expect a little noise at weekends. Great stay. Will stay again.
Excellent location. Comfortable and clean. The bath runs quickly so keep your eye on it if you don't want a flood! Staff could not be more helpful. Didn't get a chance to use dining facilities as so close to so many cafes. Car park is expensive but if you stay longer than 2-3 days it is cheaper to get a weekly ticket when you pay. Lovely river view.

We loved it!

Lovely hotel in a perfect spot to enjoy the pubs and eateries around Welshback, of which there are many! Only downside was the size of the one lift that was working - a bit of a squeeze with suitcases!

Run down

Posted 14-Oct-2016
Location: During the day - Bristol is a beautiful town.
Design of the room we stayed in was OK, but the maintenance was not. Leaky faucets, tile not properly grouted were the two areas that stand out. We were there on a Saturday evening, and downtown Bristol (a normally beautiful town) is really ugly with binge drinking young people. I've heard this is a problem in many of the UK towns - better to stay outside the town on the weekend.

Noisy at night poor toiletries and tissue paper.

Posted 11-Oct-2016
Location: Good location and close to local facilities but there are a number of other hotels close by.
The hotel is in a good location. Staff are good. Very noisy in early hours from 6 am onwards on the 2 nights we stayed due to deliveries and cobble streets at front of hotel. Toiletries and tissue paper very poor quality. Approx 6 cigarette butts on the window sill of room I would expect by people smoking in the room with the window slightly open but there was no smell of cigarettes in the room. No orange juice at breakfast on the two morning we stayed and the staff explained, after I had asked them to refill the jug, that they had run out because it was busy and they had no more to refill the jugs. Vegetarian sausage was supposed to be available at the buffet but was only available on request with a 10 minute wait.

Good location for getting around on foot.

Posted 29-Sep-2016
Pros: Convenience
Cons: Book rear facing room on weekends as students at nearby Brew Dog bar were VERY, noisy and disrespectful to the local residents until the early hours
Location: Good access to Old Town street markets & Guseppies Italian rest, plenty of walks along waterfront, bars and river activity inc SS GT Britain & buses.
Friendly staff, good room (bathroom a bit shabby but adequate) and breakfast good.

Bristol City Centre Hotel

Posted 20-Sep-2016
Pros: Rooms were large, clean, and comfortable.
Cons: Muzak turned off.
Location: Good location, with easy access to city centre.
Hotel room was clean and comfortable, but we chose this particular hotel because it advertised parking, which we needed. The Parking turned out to be in a National Car Park in a different street, and with only a 25 percent reduction on the commercial price. In addition, the hotel played annoying, loud, music in its public spaces, which was especially unwelcome at breakfast! So, despite some positives, I would never stay here again.

Pros: On waterfront and close to city centre.

Great place to stay in Bristol to be near both waterfront and city centre. Had a bar meal on our first evening here too and it was fantastic & served quickly.
