"Very nicely done up property with everything you could need. Instructions to check in were very simple and owner is easy to contact if anything did go wrong. Would definitely stay again and would recommend over a typical hotel"

"I was attending The Greatest Gathering in Derby, so I needed somewhere to stay. Leaving it to the last minute like I usually do, there weren't many places left that were a) cheap, and b) within easy reach of Derby. This hostel was a lot better than I thought it would be: Joe was very helpful from the moment I arrived, showing me around and explaining everything carefully. My room was nice and secluded, and the bed was comfortable. The decor is nice and colourful, and the rooms have themes, which is a nice touch!
I only stayed for one night, so it's a good "no frills" option to have if money is tight and you're only looking to stay for two or three days. It's located in the heart of the city centre but tucked away in a courtyard, so it's not too obvious! There are plenty of shops, pubs, and eating establishments nearby, so you have plenty of choice. And it's only a 10-minute walk from Nottingham bus and railway stations."
"This was our 2nd visit this year, this time with the kids. Room was very spacious and there was plenty of room for all 4 of us. The room was very clean and the kids loved the sofa bed although for erratic sleepers we had to pillows down so they didn't fall out."
"Nice hotel, well placed in city centre near to train station. Can't comment on parking as we were on motorcycles and were able (with prior permission) to park outside the entrance. Room was ok, bed comfy, reception provided mint tea bags when requested without an issue. Breakfast had everything any one could need. The only advice I would give future patrons would be to not assume the room with be cleaned/bed made up unless you actually leave a notice on your door by 11.00pm the night before which is bizarre. Was told this is because it's an eco hotel but I fail to see where making a bed damages the environment. Staff were all friendly, smiley and helpful."
"This hotel is really good although if wanting the best experience I would recommend the premium room or higher as the standard rooms won't be the best but still acceptable for a hotel especially the oldest in Nottingham. I had a standard room this time and wasn't happy with it so I asked for an upgrade was willing to pay the extra cost but the amazing staff let me have a premium room for no extra cost which was great. Breakfast is good the staff are very polite and there's lots of food choice available. The TVs in the hotel are extremely dated and the universal remotes can be fiddely but this doesn't bother me too much. Hotel internet is impressively fast with 100Mbps download and around 130Mbps upload allowing you to connect your own devices and watch movies, stream, work or whatever with ease.
The one complaint I will make which isn't really a complaint was I ordered some food with deliveroo but quickly realized we didn't have any cutlery so I called reception asked for some forks and they said they'd be right up but nobody came (I ended up using the already provided spoons to eat my curry as it was late and I didn't want to cause anymore of a fuss).
Overall its a great hotel experience and I'll be sure to checkout the bar next time I stay here. If you're looking for one of the cheapest stays with a great experience this is the hotel for you. "
