This is a great hotel for the price. It is dog friendly and the staff are nice and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone in the area that needs a place to stay. The price was excellent and pets stay for free. There is also a free continental breakfast in the morning.

Bismarck hotel stay

Posted 08-Jan-2018
Pros: Location and price. Dogs are allowed without an extra fee. (We didn't bring our pet - but it's nice to know it's available for another time.)
Location: Easy access to Interstate and restaurants.
The person at at the desk for check in was excellent. Very friendly, talkative, personable. All other staff was o.k. - but not exceptional. Very few people staying in the hotel - which was a little disconcerting. Because we were familiar with Bismarck, we were o.k. - but if this was a new community to us, I would have been concerned about why nobody was staying there. It felt like a ghost town. On the other hand, noise was not a problem. The main lobby was in very good shape and clean. The room was clean, but nearing the point where touch-ups will be needed on the walls, etc. Bed was comfortable. Heating was good. Pool area was good as was the free breakfast.

Room was small. When entering I knocked clothing off the hangers or ran into them. A closet door would help with that.

Pros: It was close to a walking path for my dog at the Capital grounds. No fee for my dog to stay at the hotel.
Cons: Include a refrigerator and microwave in the hotel room. Hotel room is a little small and needs updating. Bed a little too soft.
Location: Restaurants and walking paths. Location is not far off the interstate.
The first night I checked in, the staff was not very informative or friendly. The bed was a little too soft. The room and hotel could use some updating. The room was small and did not have a refrigerator or a microwave. Continental breakfast was mediocre. We have a dog and the hotel did not charge a fee for him, which is nice. Hotel cost was affordable. Close to the Capital, which was nice for our dog - we could take him for walks in the morning. Close to restaurants and coffee shops.

Comfortable Inn

Posted 02-Oct-2017
Pros: The workers were really nice and the quality of everything was good for me.
Cons: Being more aware of transactions.I had the issue this year being charged 2x and last year had funds taken, returned and then taken again
Location: I'd say there are plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby with the inn near the interstate. Most of the state attractions are quite a distance.
I've stayed here twice and while I enjoy the hotel and the amenities, I've encountered some issues so I'm a bit wary. I'll get the cons out of the way and then give the pros. I had paid through a secondary website and when I came in to pay I thought my card was taken to be verified. Instead I got charged a second time - when I came to the desk the next evening to ask about it the situation was quickly resolved, but if I was someone who needed the money asap it could have been very stressful (due to the 3-5 day wait for returning funds). Another issue, but minor, is that the walls seem a bit thin - the first time we didn't notice, but this last visit we could hear the neighbors listening to their TV and anything occurring in the hall. Despite that the pros are substantial to me. It's always clean and the staff is very friendly. The location is near enough to most things you want to visit in town, next door to a gas station for quick pickups and the inn has a public washer/dryer if you need near their pool, gym and hot tub. I've also really enjoyed their breakfast selection - more than just cereal boxes and muffins. There's usually a variety with small modifications every day. So I'd go back again. Make sure your room has a microwave if you need it - we had one the year prior and I didn't think to check for that when I booked this time.
