Pros: It was close to a walking path for my dog at the Capital grounds. No fee for my dog to stay at the hotel.
Cons: Include a refrigerator and microwave in the hotel room. Hotel room is a little small and needs updating. Bed a little too soft.
Location: Restaurants and walking paths. Location is not far off the interstate.
The first night I checked in, the staff was not very informative or friendly. The bed was a little too soft. The room and hotel could use some updating. The room was small and did not have a refrigerator or a microwave. Continental breakfast was mediocre. We have a dog and the hotel did not charge a fee for him, which is nice. Hotel cost was affordable. Close to the Capital, which was nice for our dog - we could take him for walks in the morning. Close to restaurants and coffee shops.

Comfortable Inn

Posted 02-Oct-2017
Pros: The workers were really nice and the quality of everything was good for me.
Cons: Being more aware of transactions.I had the issue this year being charged 2x and last year had funds taken, returned and then taken again
Location: I'd say there are plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby with the inn near the interstate. Most of the state attractions are quite a distance.
I've stayed here twice and while I enjoy the hotel and the amenities, I've encountered some issues so I'm a bit wary. I'll get the cons out of the way and then give the pros. I had paid through a secondary website and when I came in to pay I thought my card was taken to be verified. Instead I got charged a second time - when I came to the desk the next evening to ask about it the situation was quickly resolved, but if I was someone who needed the money asap it could have been very stressful (due to the 3-5 day wait for returning funds). Another issue, but minor, is that the walls seem a bit thin - the first time we didn't notice, but this last visit we could hear the neighbors listening to their TV and anything occurring in the hall. Despite that the pros are substantial to me. It's always clean and the staff is very friendly. The location is near enough to most things you want to visit in town, next door to a gas station for quick pickups and the inn has a public washer/dryer if you need near their pool, gym and hot tub. I've also really enjoyed their breakfast selection - more than just cereal boxes and muffins. There's usually a variety with small modifications every day. So I'd go back again. Make sure your room has a microwave if you need it - we had one the year prior and I didn't think to check for that when I booked this time.

Good hotel, good amenities, some updating needed

Posted 11-Sep-2017
The bed was a dream and the breakfast buffet had incredible variety, the staff was very attentive and polite, and located along the main Bismarck drag, it's an ideal location. Just a few things: hairdryer, shower, and A.C./ heat unit in the room very old school. Yellowed, but functional. Fitness facilities feature one elliptical and one treadmill, and oddly, a single 3 lb dunbell as an afterthought, and are located adjacent to the pool room-- extremely humid in there, very little air circulation. The cooling unit was broken, and I asked a maintenance worker if there was a possibility to bring in fans-- I guess not? Break a sweat before you even touch a machine! Pool also had some grimy wear-and-tear. Overall, hotel clean, tasteful, and professional. So much so that I was very surprised to encounter an unclean pool and a neglected "fitness center." Could use an update!

Pow-wow time!

Posted 10-Sep-2017
Pros: We were in a room at ground level across from the pool.
Cons: I did not encounter anything and I used to be a motel maid so I look closer than some customers for things.
Location: The Capital and Heritage Center are a block away. it easy access to interstate 94, too.
Had my annual meeting in town and most places were full and over charging like they usually do when special events are going on. This hotel remained loyal to its customers by keeping prices at regular rates. Thank-you. Room was spacious and very clean. Desk staff was very accommodating and friendly. Continental breakfast had many choices and staff willing to help locate items. Parking lot was well lit, too.
