In the advertisement it's written that there is Seaview from the room but actually the room is on the top of the hose with two windows on the roof, no view at all.. We tried to kayak once but the beach was so rocky so far out that it was difficult, swimming was impossible. The location was very quiet and not touristy like Key West, which is what we were looking for. The breakfast was abysmal (packaged bagels, yogurt and cold cereal), I've had better at a Best Western. The location is right on the Atlantic and parking is free and easy. The treehouse is rustic and has a shower the size of a submarine shower and bring your own body soap. But its nice and private and separate from the main building. The key deer visit nightly and are adorable. A walk out to the beach with your morning coffee or evening beverage couldn't be better. You can watch the Key Deer walk right by! (Don't forget it's illegal to feed them. That's for their own good folks) Wendy whips up a plentiful and tasty breakfast. The AC worked great and the bed was super comfortable. You can snorkel just a few miles away at horseshoe beach or Bahia Honda beach. The room and bathroom were very nicely decorated and clean. The bed was comfortable. The beach front area had some trash that needed to be picked up and the home could use some landscaping. We did not stay for the continental breakfast so can not speak to that. Check in was a little challenging; I did not receive the e-mail day before check-in that I was expecting but did receive a phone call. However, that came up on my caller ID as Calvo Construction so I thought it was a spam call. Right on the beach. My husband saw one key deer. Unfortunately the room we had was in the main house upstairs and was not meant for a 5'6" and a 6'1 couple. Ceilings low in the bathroom area. There were roaches in our room. It is not a bed and breakfast, which is how it was listed. As soon as I paid for the room, I received an email saying they do not offer breakfast. The beach is covered in seaweed which smells like rotten eggs. I know this is not their fault but good to know before spending a lot of money on this place. There was a lot of trash on the beach as well. It is not a swimmable beach due to the seaweed. They have kayaks available but to use them you will need to make your way through 6 inches of mud, seaweed and flies to get the kayak into the water. The room had a Keurig and some coffee pods but only a plastic cup or a wine glass to drink coffee out of. They provided creamer and sugar but nothing to stir the coffee with.
