Historic cottage in Berwick-upon-Tweed
Historic pet friendly cottage for couple or single traveller set in a charming village with great pub. the cottage has an open plan kitchen and loung area with wifi. The kitchen area has granite worktops and a full oven with dishwasher and washing machine and all crockery and cutlery. The lounge, with it beamed ceiling,has a wall mounted set above a original fireplace. Up the narrow staircase the gues will find a double bedroom with another tv. There is an ensuite shower room with a large shower with rain head. The vanity wash basin has an illuminated mirror with shaver point. The large heated towel rail keeps the fluffy bath and hand towels lovely and warm. There is central heating and double glazing throughout.
Unusually the cottage garden is set about 25 metres from the cottage, next to the dedicated parking space which has a lockable cycle shed for up to two bikes. Walking and cycling maps are provided.
The village, Paxton, is known for its peaceful location.There is a super pub that offers great food and a warm welcome It is close to wonderful river walks along the banks of the Tweed. Paxton House and gardens,with its restored water wheel is only 10 minutes walk away. ten minutes drive will take guests to the walled town of Berwick upon Tweed . Here there is a main line station with connections to Edinburgh and all Scottish stations, or to Newcastle, Durham, York and London if travelling south.

Tweed cottage
Perfectly situated for all trips out. Very quiet and pleasant. Local pub was welcoming, served excellent food, and very dog friendly. Tweed cottage was very clean and tidy. The car parking and garden were an added bonus. Overall excellent and would recommend.
