Overall very good stay

Posted 31-Oct-2016
Location: It's only less than a 30 minute drive to Thorpe Park, Windsor Castle, and I believe Lego Land too. There's restaurants/pubs within a 5 minute drive.
The room was good and clean, the bathroom was a bit tight. Be cautious of the room temperature settings on the wall. To raise the temperature it's the left button, not the right! I thought I was lowering the temperature at night when it was too warm, when in fact I raised it by about 5 degrees (C) hah. (I could not see in the dark but knew where the buttons were). Breakfast is very busy and a bit of a mess. One morning at one of the breakfasts, we were led to a table and told that someone would come by to offer us tea and coffee. We waited 5 minutes but nobody did. The couple behind us didn't as well. So we just sat there waiting. A server passed us and took no notice of my boyfriend and I, but noticed the couple behind us didn't get served tea or coffee so she offered. I had to get her attention some minutes later to finally get served tea. Besides breakfast, the staff were friendly and helpful. The following mornings, breakfast was fine. But there were a ton of kids this week (school holidays) and many parents did not control them so they were running around trying to serve themselves juice and cereal and just making a mess. So perhaps it was just a big headache for the servers and maybe they just slipped with our service.

we only stayed one night. Stay was fine for an overnighter. The gym facilities were very good. The pool was really a family leisure pool, not for swimming. I prefer separate shower in bathroom rather than showere combined with bath. no shampoo and conitioner, notice to ask for them if required. We booked 2 double rooms and receptionist asked us if we had any preferrences. We asked for the rooms to be next to each other which she was able to arrange. Unfortunately we were woken on Sunday mornig by a great deal of clattering and banging, either the bins being emptied or some kind of delivery.

Nice hotel

Nice hotel with good facilities, neat rooms and friendly staff. The hotel definetely looks far better on the inside, the outside could do with some renovations. Overall lovely experience although I wish the spa tub worked efficiently.

Hotel was comfortable, friendly and helpful staff, great pool and gym, excellent food both for choice and quality particularly at breakfast. Overall a very efficiently run hotel and no complaints from us. We used it for a stay while attending a wedding locally, we stayed 5 nights.

Not sure I would use again!

Posted 12-Sep-2016
Pros: Room clean, quiet and comfortable, staff polite and helpful, recommend room 407!
Cons: No children in restaurant after 8.30/9pm!
Hotel lovely, room great, staff great, food great. But cannot give is an excellent review. The restaurant is ok for breakfast, not a comfortable evening meal venue. The decor is cold an clinical, ok for breakfast, but not really an 'evening meal' experience. Hate to say it, but too many children, noisy and grumpy! Thank fully our room was quiet and heave some respite, from what was quite a noisy experience. Evening meal could be an improved xperien e, if maybe children were not allowed in the restaurant after 8.30/9pm,.

Chain Hotel

Pros: No surprises.mits a Holiday Inn.
This is a standard Holiday Inn outside of town so the location is not convenient to much. It's also not good value for money.

Close to Legoland/Windsor

Posted 07-Sep-2016
Pros: Definitely the pool is a plus! The staff are excellent and friendly
Cons: kids eat free every night, it's not our fault the hotel didn't have enough children one night.
Location: Legoland, Windsor Castle
Had a fabulous couple of days, especially enjoyed the restaurant and the swimming pool - towels are provided for you. Lovely rooms for a family, fridge in the room for milk, no complaints. There is a lot of complaints on here about the wait for breakfast? We saw no evidence of this, straight in and seated both days, once early and once mid breakfast serving. If I had to make one comment it would be that on our second evening there was no kids Buffet as"there are only 7 children in the hotel" and we were not offered any alternative for our two yr old, told she could have something off our plate, so not sure the "kids eat free" is entirely correct.
