The room didn’t have an expresso machine as advertised and we only had one coffee each on arrival and that was it. Would have been nice to have more coffee and milk. Minor details but makes the difference. Overall though, was satisfied with the stay and location. ##### Lucy Stayed 1 night in Dec 2019 ### 8/10 Good #### Verified traveller 18 Nov 2019 Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities, property conditions & facilities we stayed in room 9 and there was water running down from somewhere the whole time we stayed. Behind the Bathroom wall it seemed. I meant to mention to the staff but forgot. ##### Verified traveller Stayed 1 night in Nov 2019 ### 6/10 Okay #### Verified traveller 16 Nov 2019 Considering age of property, 1762, very well maintained. Only down side is no lift and with high ceilings on each floor, considerable number of steps spread over 4 floors, not for elderly people ##### Verified traveller Stayed 2 nights in Nov 2019 ### 8/10 Good #### Verified traveller 29 Oct 2019 Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities The hotel is in a prime position, what let it down (no lift) also people coming out of the night clubs kept us awake from 2-30 till 4-00 in the morning. 😪 ##### Verified traveller Stayed 4 nights in Oct 2019 ### 4/10 Poor #### Ann-Marie 21 Aug 2019 Disliked: Cleanliness, property conditions & facilities, room comfort #### Unloved, dated and too noisy This hotel is in a great location but if you are a light sleeper then avoid like the plague! We stayed a Monday night thinking the streets at night would be quieter but no there was so much noise until 3am which kept me awake! When I mentioned this at check out I was told well Bath is a busy place - charming. The building is old and the windows are single pane (I’m assuming due to the buildings age) so probably not much they can do about outside noise but the doors are flimsy with quite a gap at the bottom which means you heard everyone going up and down the stairs and people do not realise how loud they can be especially late at night. The whole place was tired and quite dirty on the main stairs with cracks in the walls and on the stairs. We were in room 4 and lovely holes left in bathroom wall where fixtures have been taken down and no one bothered repairing. Unfortunately there is quite a pungent fish smell as you go up the stairs due to the restaurant but surely some air fresheners would not cost much. It seems this hotel relies on its location alone but I would rather stay further out than pay the price we did for a sleepless night in a rather dated and unloved hotel :( ##### Ann-Marie Stayed 1 night in Aug 2019 ### 6/10 Okay #### stephen 17 Aug 2019 Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, room comfort #### ⁹I I would consider the restaurant and hotel accomodation great food and service room was comfortable and clean and would class it as an excellent3 and half establishment but not 4 star as advertised because bed and furniture need upgrading ##### stephen Stayed 1 night in Aug 2019 ### 8/10 Good #### Leslie 8 Jul 2019 Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service #### Great value for price, but not a 4 star hotel. Great breakfast & option for cocktails & food, booked 3 rooms (3 couples traveling together). All pictures showed tub, but no tub in our rooms. Bed was not terrible but not great, could feel coils in spots & tight fit in room. NO LIFT & so mean a lot of stairs as only 2-3 rooms per floor. Make sure to go to rooftop, beautiful view of city! No AC & as was heat wave had windows open so head street noise & sirens throughout night. ##### Leslie Stayed 2 nights in Jun 2019 ### 8/10 Good #### Jennifer 30 Jun 2019 Liked: Cleanliness, property conditions & facilities, room comfort #### Great weekend away Really good.. staff nice. But a few things overall.. asked for a fan as it was hot.. said they would look and let us know.. never heard anything. At dinner we should have had 25% off for staying in the hotel and eating at loch fyne,. Didn’t get that just got the runaround and the waiter asking for his tip in cash because if we put it on a card he had to share it with the rest of the wait staff.. and breakfast as part of the stay was amazing.. but my hubby needed to get up and out.. and even though we explained he needed something quick and i could stay .. they just didn’t seem to understand.. still took ages.. however overall it was lovely and would stay again.. just not as part of eating at loch fyne.. miller & carter over the road would get our visit.. rooms are funky and cool.. nice amount of room in ours (number 2) however if you are a first time away couples trip.. the toilet is open plan and there isn’t a huge amount of privacy when it comes to natural “noises” :). Parking on the street was free after 7pm until 8am.. so we paid 6-7pm and 8-9am through an app. All very easy.. it is sooo close to everything .. bar downstairs where you check in great and staff on there were LOVELY.. ##### Jennifer Stayed 1 night in Jun 2019 ### 2/10 Terrible #### Ian 30 Jun 2019 Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities, room comfort #### Stay away Rubbish ... never go there again ##### Ian Stayed 1 night in Jun 2019 ### 2/10 Terrible #### Verified traveller 29 May 2019 Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities, property conditions & facilities When we arrived therewas a dirty towe on the floor. The hotel smeells of the food of the restautant. It has no elevator and you have to go through vwey narrow stairs to the 4th floor with your luggage! ##### Verified traveller Stayed 1 night in May 2019 ### 10/10 Excellent #### Joan 28 May 2019 Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities, room comfort #### Fantastic place all around We had a wonderful trip to Bath and Loch Fyne is a fantastic hotel - breakfast was included and so delicious - it was a long weekend we were there so there was some street noise as we were on the 2nd floor but it was tolerable - location is awesome - I highly recommend it ##### Joan Stayed 2 nights in May 2019 ### 8/10 Good #### Jon 25 Apr 2019 Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities #### Great location The hotel is in a great position in the centre of town and is very smartly appointed. The only Dow side was being so close to the night spots it was noisy at night but once we closed the windows we didn’t hear a thing. Overall a good hotel in a great part of town to explore from. ##### Jon Stayed 1 night in Apr 2019 ### 8/10 Good #### Andrew 18 Apr 2019 Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities, room comfort #### My stay in Bath Good accommodation at a reasonable price. ##### Andrew Stayed 1 night in Apr 2019 ### 8/10 Good #### Verified traveller 25 Mar 2019 Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service The room was good enough however the thermostatic valves were jammed off in the radiators, they need to be replaced (room 4) also the taps on the bathroom sink were loose. There was a lot of road noise and people noise groin outside which could be be avoided unless since kind odd secondary glazing could be pemitted ##### Verified traveller Stayed 1 night in Mar 2019 ### 6/10 Okay #### Verified traveller 24 Feb 2019 Liked: Staff & service The hotel is in a great location in the heart of Bath. Unfortunately, along with that goes a lot of noise in the street outside at night: the building is old, with single-glazed windows, and I had to resort to earplugs to be able to sleep. The bed is not great quality (I stayed in a Premier Inn the week before and the bed was much better there!), and the lighting was really poor - two bedside lights and hardly any other light. The staff were lovely but I would not stay here again. ##### Verified traveller Stayed 5 nights in Feb 2019 ### 8/10 Good #### amanda jane 22 Nov 2018 Nice hotel with friendly staff. Not suitable for people who need a lift as there are lots of very steep stairs to get to the room ##### amanda jane Stayed 1 night in Nov 2018 ### 6/10 Okay #### Alun 12 Nov 2018 #### Loch Fyne Hotel Bath 10.11.18 Very expensive, but that's Bath for you! Room small and needs some redecorating. Breakfast service very slow and not good quality. Staff nice enough but really insistent about no check in before 3pm. We arrived at 2.45hrs and they were having none of it. Very difficult to park around there so ended up driving around until 3pm! No reception area to speak of so nowhere to drop off bags. All in all, wouldn't recommend ##### Alun Stayed 1 night in Nov 2018 ### 10/10 Excellent #### Ronald, Holbrook N.S.W. 17 Oct 2018 Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities, room comfort This was a truly remarkable experience. The amenities are top quality and you could not ask for more friendly and helpful staff who went out of their way to make you feel welcome and comfortable. Salvatore especially was amazingly helpful and was full of la dolce vita It is within a short walking distance of all the main attractions and is in the middle of excellent shopping. It is highly recommended to all ##### Ronald Stayed 1 night in Oct 2018 ### 8/10 Good #### Maggie 8 Sept 2018 #### A delightful break Staff very friendly and helpful. Room very well equipped and comfortable. Location very good for sightseeing but traffic quite heavy. Wide variety of food very nicely prepared. We really enjoyed our few days there. ##### Maggie Stayed 3 nights in Sep 2018 ### 6/10 Okay #### Richard 26 Aug 2018 Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities, room comfort Staff were wonderful, however had to have breakfast at another venue as staff were locked out of hotel ##### Richard Stayed 2 nights in Aug 2018 ### 6/10 Okay #### Verified traveller 16 Jul 2018 Disliked: Property conditions & facilities, room comfort #### Nice restaurant but lacking hotel When we arrived there was no towels or soap. They front desk was so busy with the restaurant we got no answer a couple of times trying to call. The shower head was broken and actually fell on my boyfriends head while he was showering. The restaurant was very good though, the hotel is just an after thought. But very good location if exploring bath ##### Verified traveller Stayed 1 night in Jul 2018 ### 8/10 Good #### Lainie 9 Jan 2018 Liked: Cleanliness, property conditions & facilities, room comfort the room was absolutely fantastic - really great size and with a bath on feet. the food at the restaurant downstairs was also outstanding. service was a bit hit and miss, and our tea randomly disappeared halfway through our stay, but that certainly isn't a showstopper ##### Lainie Stayed 2 nights in Jan 2018 ### 8/10 Good #### Helen 7 Dec 2017 Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities, room comfort #### A lot of stairs IF YOU CAN'T DO STAIRS THIS IS NOT YOUR HOTEL! However, even out of breath I loved this cosy little boutique hotel with beatific views overy the rooftops of Bath. The breakfast menu is spectacular. The staff were lovely, we ate a wonderful dinner there too. ##### Helen Stayed 1 night in Dec 2017 ### 6/10 Okay #### Verified traveller 24 Nov 2017 Liked: Room comfort Disliked: Property conditions & facilities #### Should be better Very noisy, however I understand the windows will be part of conservation area rules Large areas of bedroom wall peeling The flats over road can see you in the shower Service in restaurant chaotic Lovely breakfast and morning service excellent ##### Verified traveller Stayed 1 night in Nov 2017 ### 8/10 Good #### rach, London 8 Oct 2017 Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities, room comfort #### Boutique hotel, brilliant location We stayed one night in the superior room, and the hotel was lovely. Room was clean, very spacious and beautifully decorated. The street noise wasn't a major issue once it got to bed time. Breakfast was yummy and they catered for celiacs. Would stay again in a heartbeat. ##### rach Stayed 1 night in Oct 2017 ## Expedia's Latest Trends ### Hotels > [Lansdown Grove](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Bath-Hotels-Lansdown-Grove.h398087.Hotel-Information) > > [The Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Bath-Hotels-The-Royal-Crescent-Hotel-Spa.h518649.Hotel-Information) > > [Wentworth House Hotel](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Bath-Hotels-Wentworth-House-Hotel.h1381514.Hotel-Information) > > [The Kennard](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Bath-Hotels-The-Kennard.h116019.Hotel-Information) > > [Macdonald Bath Spa](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Bath-Hotels-Macdonald-Bath-Spa.h23633.Hotel-Information) > > [Brindleys Boutique Bed & Breakfast](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Bath-Hotels-Brindleys-Boutique-Bed-Breakfast.h4533218.Hotel-Information) > > [The Windsor Townhouse](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Bath-Hotels-The-Windsor.h7698942.Hotel-Information) > > [Edgar Townhouse](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Bath-Hotels-Edgar-Townhouse.h8183657.Hotel-Information) > > [2 Crescent Gardens](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Bath-Hotels-2-Crescent-Gardens.h7858195.Hotel-Information) > > [Chestnuts House](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Bath-Hotels-Chestnuts-House.h10193883.Hotel-Information) > > [Tyndall Villa Boutique B&B](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Bath-Hotels-Tyndall-Villa-Boutique-BB.h21427497.Hotel-Information) > > [The Bird, Bath](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Bath-Hotels-The-Bird.h9354128.Hotel-Information) > > [Doubletree by Hilton Bath](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Bath-Hotels-Doubletree-By-Hilton-Bath.h4457.Hotel-Information) > > [Leighton House](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Bath-Hotels-Leighton-House-Boutique-BB.h15497464.Hotel-Information) > > [The Ayrlington](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Bath-Hotels-The-Ayrlington.h4322704.Hotel-Information) > > [Rose And Crown](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Bath-Hotels-Rose-And-Crown.h31953573.Hotel-Information) > > [Homewood Hotel & Spa](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Bath-Hotels-Homewood-Hotel-And-Spa.h3588.Hotel-Information) > > [Best Western Limpley Stoke Hotel](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Bath-Hotels-Best-Western-Limpley-Stoke-Hotel.h448021.Hotel-Information) > > [No.15 by GuestHouse, Bath](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Bath-Hotels-No15-Great-Pulteney-Hotel-And-Spa.h15671565.Hotel-Information) > > [The George Inn and The Plaine](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Bath-Hotels-The-George-Inn-And-The-Plaine.h4052275.Hotel-Information) > > [Henrietta House, a member of Radisson Individuals](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Bath-Hotels-Henrietta-House.h59451753.Hotel-Information) > > [Grays Boutique B&B](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Bath-Hotels-Grays-Boutique-BB.h6512785.Hotel-Information) > > [Dorian House](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Bath-Hotels-Dorian-House.h1381502.Hotel-Information) > > [Holiday Inn Express Bath by IHG](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Bath-Hotels-Holiday-Inn-Express-Bath.h896904.Hotel-Information) > > [Broadstreet Townhouse](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Bath-Hotels-Broadstreet-Townhouse.h38561268.Hotel-Information) > > [Brocks Guest House](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Bath-Hotels-Brocks-Guest-House.h10076387.Hotel-Information) > > [No. 3](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Bath-Hotels-Lamppost-Villa.h11899088.Hotel-Information) > > [The Queensberry Hotel](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Bath-Hotels-The-Queensberry-Hotel.h919937.Hotel-Information) > > [The Roseate Villa Bath](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Bath-Hotels-The-Roseate-Villa-Bath.h4478278.Hotel-Information) > > [Oldfields House](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Bath-Hotels-Oldfields-House-Bed-Breakfast.h5496435.Hotel-Information)
