Walk to the Kangaroo Lake beach located just 300 yards away, or take a quick 7-minute drive to downtown Baileys Harbor with lots of dining options, shopping and entertainment. The home sleeps 8 people in beds, with all bedrooms on the same level. The primary bedroom includes a King bed and Smart TV and primary bathroom includes a walk-in shower, and a nice futon for an extra guest. The second bedroom has a Queen bed and the third bedroom includes 2 double beds. The front yard has a porch with an outdoor patio set that's perfect for morning coffee. Enjoy the backyard during the evening roasting marshmallows around the firepit. Plenty of outdoor seating and furniture for your group! \*This is a quiet community with residential neighbors. This home is geared towards quiet family vacations. Due to the proximity of neighbors, we cannot accommodate bachelor or bachelorette parties, reunions or other rowdy gatherings. A few things to consider- there wasn’t enough hot water for all 4 of us to shower. We went kayaking, came home to shower off the lake water and there was only enough hot water for 2 ppl. Also- lake access isn’t great. It might be 300 yards to the water, as the crow flies, but in reality, you walk down the street, take a left to head to the water. It seems like an old boat launch, not a beach. To get to the actual boat launch, you have to drive out and around Kangaroo lake. All in all- it was great, we were disappointed because we thought we’d be able to easily access Kangaroo lake for kayaking, swimming and beach days and that didn’t pan out. The location and amenities were great. We loved the quiet peaceful setting. Being close to Bailey’s Harbor and on the quieter side of the Peninsula was great. ##### Lauren M. It has the added attraction of being across the road from Kangaroo Lake, although the access to the lake is very limited. No worries, the beaches of Bailey's Harbor, Egg Harbor and Fish Creek are only a ten minute drive away on the more active Bay Side of the peninsula. The house is comfortable and well supplied with all things necessary. The beds are cozy, baths are fine (both have heated floors), and the kitchen well stocked.The WiFi is "iffy" at times, but the area is rural. It looks light and bright, but was dark and shadowy even with every light in the house turned on. It was also not near the lively, more happening areas in Door County. I suggest renting in Sister Bay if you want to be near the nicer restaurants and shopping. Loved the ferry and Washington island. for us this rental was a bust. ##### Pam W. Communication with the property manager was excellent, the property was spotless and exactly as pictured in the listing. We had a small issue with the heat not working upon arrival but the property manager responded quickly had the issue fixed within an hour. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The outdoor firepit area was the perfect spot to gather and relax with our friends. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was fully equipped and there were plenty of towels and blankets. Great location by the lake and only a 5 minute drive to Bailey’s Harbor.
