Lovely hotel. Clean and tidy Good food and nice and helpful staff. Could have done with a cubboard in my room and hangers for my clothes. I would recommend to others to stay.
Very clean, basic hotel. Excellent value for money! No eating facilities on site but not far from restaurants etc. Tea and coffee facilities in room. Would highly recommend.
There was a clanging noise and the air con was pretty loud, but was a lovely overnight stay.
I have stayed here on several occasions and i have always found a great welcome and value for money
Great for the price, especially considering breakfast was included. Staff were friendly.
Comfortable large room although a little tired Decs. Great leisure facilities. Bar service rather challenging!
Me and my partner had a wonderful 3 night stay here whilst we visited Crufts and the west midlands safari park. It had everything we needed, very clean and comfortable . Lovely, very helpful hosts. And the added bonus of a very gorgeous and friendly little pup, blue. Lovely to wake up in the morning ...
Because it is set back from the main road it was nice and quiet. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We were offered the chance of a ground floor room which we accepted. Only one problem in that there seems to be a new chef, only started the night we stayed. The vegetarian menu was very limited ...
Located between the M5 and the A42, the Avoncroft Museum of Historic Buildings is one of Worcestershire’s most popular attractions. Finding a good hotel near the museum isn’t a problem: there are plenty in the area catering for couples, families and business travellers.
There’s much more to this museum than its name might suggest: you’ll often find Living History weekends in which visitors can interact with actors to find out more about the county’s past and many more events, including medieval jousting displays and even Shakespearean productions. However, the buildings are the focus and this is where you’ll find over 30 historic structures and buildings that have been rescued, restored and are now on display to the public.
Hotels and accommodation in the area range from quaint B&Bs and timbered inns to impressive country houses and new-build establishments. For a slice of the high life, the Laughern Hill Hotel is an exceptional destination offering spectacular grounds, rustic-yet-classy rooms and all the amenities you’d expect from a five star 21st Century hotel. However, if you prefer something a little homelier, the nearby Admiral Rodney manages to combine comfort and class, without feeling over the top.
When it comes to business meetings, the Avoncroft Museum has its own facilities, catering for everything from small gatherings to full-blown conferences, making it a unique venue for a truly memorable event. While there are catering facilities on offer, there are plenty of places to eat in nearby Redditch, ranging from Indian restaurants and old-fashioned inns to fine-dining establishments, such as the Bramblings Restaurant, situated in the Abbey Hotel.
There are plenty of attractions within easy access – although the most convenient and charming must be the miniature railway, located at the Avoncroft Museum. However, travel further afield and you’ll be introduced to a range of local landmarks, including the Forge Mill Needle Museum and the medieval Coughton Court.
The Avoncroft Museum of Historic Buildings is a superb attraction, which will entertain and inform visitors of any age. Located near to local hotels, restaurants and attractions, it’s the ideal way to spend a leisurely day.
