Hector, the host, made changes to the house rules at the last moment, no longer allowing events without paying an additional charge. We had a small, respectful 20-person gathering planned. Luckily, VRBO stepped up, and they were able to confirm the listing history. VRBO allowed me to cancel my reservation and refunded me 100%. This was on the day of check-in, which added a lot of stress to the commotion of birthday planning.If you do decide to stay at this Manor Private Luxury Retreat, I recommend having clear communication with Hector in writing.
