Location good but need to be aware of hidden costs
Excellent location and close to interesting attractions, good pubs and restaurants plus walks etc. Overall the cottage was very clean, spacious and comfortable however, if staying there during winter, one needs to be aware of the high cost of power. We considered our daily costs for power high and did not enjoy the need to monitor the meter nor going to the local supermarket to top up the meter. We were prudent with our use of electricity; short showers, limited use of washing and no use of clothes dryer. We dined out for our main meal so limited use of stove/oven. Bed linen is supplied however bathroom linen is not and has to be hired. For international travelers this is another cost. Only one rather thin pillar per person with no extra pillows anywhere in the cottage. Once again mature international travelers do not carry extra pillows and often like/need two pillows. There is no WiFi in the entire complex. WiFi available at the local pub a short distance away. Our stay at the village was the last two weeks of three months travel throughout Europe staying in similar apartment/cottages in Italy and Greece. Compared to our other experiences this cottage was lacking in many instances and certainly not up to the overall standard we had previously enjoyed.
