    y Tired Hotel

Hotel is in dire need of a major refurbishment. We stayed for one night in a ground floor room overlooking the roof of the pool, not a great view but for the price we paid acceptable, what wasn't acceptable was the constant drone from the extractor fan on the pool roof which made sleeping difficult. On entering the room we discovered the main light switch did not work so you had to use the switch by the bed and the following morning we discovered someone had removed the shower door seal but not before the bathroom had been turned into an additional indoor swimming pool The hotel has it's positives by virtue of its location to the centre of Hale but that is about it, however I would be unlikely to return.

    Not happy.

Myself and my partner stayed here last night. On arrival we were happy with the presentation of the hotel and was excited for our stay. When we had checked in we were told that the section of the hotel we were staying in was experiencing water issues and this problem was not being fixed until Monday. We were told we could only flush the toilet once and would then have to use the toilet near reception and also that we would not be able to use the shower or sink in our room and would have to go to leisure if we wanted a shower. We then went and found our room. We were down two flights of stairs. I am pregnant and have a few health condition which meant I would meet access to water and toilet facilities quite often. My partner went back to reception and was told they could move us but we still wouldn’t have any water. We accepted this as it meant I would be closer to the toilet facilities. Our new room was really nice and if there wasn’t a water problem I would have been very happy with the hotel. During the night I was woken a number of times by people leaving their rooms to use the toilet. With the amount of people have long to use the toilet it meant people were walking in and out quite often. It would have been good if we were informed before our arrival of the water leak as we could have then made other arrangements. When checking out the receptionist said If you would like to complain you can go on.. we didn’t hear what he said as he walked away. We found this rude.

The hotel from the outside looks very welcoming, even the staff on the reception seem very polite and welcoming. However, the pleasaness stop there! The room itself was a very small room with a very basic decor inside. The room was at the end of the building and over looked the health section of the hotel. Although I care little about the view I do care about the noises which occurs during the evening and the night. With the sound of humming boilers, AC units starting up and another noise which I cannot put my finger on my sleep was very much disturbed to say the least. I would probably stay at this hotel room again! But if so I would be very aware of the ambient noises I can hear before it becomes too late to ask for a better room.

Hotel was fine for an overnight stay, food was average, bathroom and shower facilities were very dated. To the point where the shower was boiling hot and impossible to use but too late in the morning to do anything about it. Bar in the evening was odd, a very rude loud man acting like he owned the place repeating the same joke over and over again.
