We just had a lovely 9 night stay at the villa which was as lovely as we were expecting and were sad to leave.
We thought the pool might be a bit small, but actually it was fine, and there weren't many other people using it at the same time. Other people on the complex were very friendly and helpful - our only negative experience was with a Spanish family who had some noisy boys in the pool...after about 1.5 hours we asked them to quieten down as they were shouting and jumping into the pool and making a lot of noise and it was the evening. Unfortunately their father then came and had a word with us...and he was slightly rude. That was the only issue we had the whole time of staying so hopefully was not the norm... a shame that a few visitors do not respect the rules of the pool area.
The beds were good (the king size a little bit too firm, but we managed) and bedrooms wonderfully cool being downstairs. The bathroom was so big and spacious with lots of clean towels. Bit of a leaky shower door which we had to mop up with towels constantly, but they soon dried in the sun! The weather was glorious during our stay and reached 31 degrees when we left. It was quite a private complex, would have been even better with a gate on the garden, but very handy for the pool and supervising our daughter swimming. Lovely balcony to eat out on and admire the views.
The cooking facilities were good - perhaps the 'killer toaster' needs to be used with caution, we saw that the top of it had melted....so keep it on low!! Maybe a safer one could be provided?
We would love to return, and a couple of English visitors in a small apartment opposite also looked around and plan to stay with their family next time.
We visited the Hard Rock Hotel for cocktails on the 16th floor (a 15-20 min walk) and ate locally, but just a short drive to Costa Adeje to eat out and all the meals we had were very good. This villa might be a bit remote for some people, but you either choose the peace and quiet here, or the noisy but convenient nightlife by staying elsewhere...
One thing that could be improved - the TV had LOTS of channels, but they were all in German apart from 2 or 3, and these were only news. So most of the time we didn't watch it...I suppose if you have to direct your dish to other satellites that is difficult to change. but a few popular English channels would make this a perfect place to come back to.
p.s. the fish wall art in the bedroom is lovely - where can we find one?
