We stayed for a night with our kids as a spur of the moment treat. My kids loved the front desk area, free chocolate eggs were a much loved perk!! My older son said the hotel’s corridors reminded him of the corridors on the Titanic. Room was lovely and clean, the beds were comfortable. Good collection of toiletries in the bathroom. Good shower pressure. We had a great nights sleep. The tv had a basic mix of channels but no ability to see a TV guide which was kind of annoying but that’s my only fault with room. We did however feel that a £10 charge for parking for 1 night is far too steep. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be going back

Unfortunately this hotel has gone down in standards since we stayed there last. We choose this hotel for the pool and gym only to arrive, ask when the pool is open and to be told it is under maintenance. 2 disappointed children. On checkout I asked when the pool would be back up and running and was told it was permanently closed and was to be filled in. Had there been info about this we wouldn’t have stayed. Rooms are very tired looking. No ventilation in the bathroom. Couldn’t open a window for fresh air. Parking is a nightmare due to all the cars left from the workers on the oil rigs. £33 for breakfast for a family of 4 is disgusting! Suffice to say we only had breakfast there the first day.

The staff were generally friendly. But the leisure facilities were closed. The phone in the room didn't work. Our evening meal was slow and half the family finished eating before the 2nd half ofvthe meals arrived (hotel did refund cost if meal). Hotel is generally tired and shabby.

No wifi in room
Upon arrival staff were really friendly and welcoming. The lobby is well presented. Rooms are very outdated and require better upkeep. Carpets are worn and the bed was rock hard. Lighting was very dark as it was all lamps without a main light. I had a team meeting via zoom and it was still very dark despite sitting at the window and having all the lamps on. The shower is fine but even with the curtain tucked in the bath (as per instructions) the bathroom floor was still soaked afterwards. This must be a regular issue as there was visible water damage to the side of the bath. Most importantly, the biggest issue was not having free wifi in the room which in 2022 is ridiculous. For that reason and the extremely uncomfortable bed i would not stay here again
