We provide a unique environment of solitude and nature! There are several state parks and lakes close by, and our location is within 2 hours from Mount Rushmore. The house has original hardwood floors and has been kept up to date. It provides all of the conveniences and relaxation from the stresses of life! We do ask that no smoking or pets are allowed in the house. We'd love to have you join us for a short or long stay! There are deer and pheasant running around the area. The owners are nice and even helped send a coat we left behind through the mail. The downside of this listing is that there is no internet service or cable tv. It is hard to use your cell phone because of the circumstance so be prepared to go off the grid while visiting. The shower handle was broken so we had to figure out how to make it work at 5:00 in the morning by Jerry rigging it. There was no toilet paper either. We grabbed a roll at the local Dollar Store in Chadron. Overall, the place is overpriced considering the lack of amenities. We visited to turkey hunt and would have saved $150 over two nights by booking a hotel in Chadron when you add up the base cost and all the fees. ##### J F. It was the peace and quiet we were looking for. A great escape from the big city. Just wished we could have stayed longer. The owner's are very nice and we learned about the history of the house and farm. The house was quite comfortable and the butler's pantry was so cool.
