"Loved the lounge with coffees and honor bar. Bar 44, their sister restaurant around the corner had delicious cocktails and tapas. Parking garage across the street was expensive and difficult to navigate in such tight spaces."

"A last minute booking. The receptionist greeted us and was very polite. She actually took us to the room which was a pleasant surprise. The room was clean and comfortable and a good size. Breakfast was really good, i was even allowed to take a plate up to the room for my daughter who did not want to get out of bed. I would definitely stay there again if ever i am in the area."

"Really lovely hotel and we had our dog with us and he loved it too. Very pet friendly, plenty of other dogs staying there. Room was spacious though there were no drawers or shelves to put your stuff in/on. Breakfast was a good mix of fruit and standard breakfast items. Staff were very friendly and helpful, check in was a breeze and Gus got a welcome pack. Can’t really think of anything negative to say about this hotel."

"We had a lovely couple of nights at the Bear Hotel. Room was well appointed and spotlessly clean. Only very slight negative on room, was that on our first night, we could only get luke-warm water from the shower. Ate in the restaurant and meal was good quality overall. Service in restaurant was a little slow and lacking some attention to detail but pleasant all the same. Will happily return to stay here again, and plan to do so."

"Initial issue with key, but staff were very apologetic and got it sorted quickly. Resturant for the hotel is just over the road, but again, good service and food was spot on. Room was comfy and quiet, just what is needed after a day at work. "

"We stayed in one of the annex buildings. It was ok just a bit dated and not that clean (dusty and stains on the carpets.) our room was on the ground floor and the noise from the room above was terrible, lots of creaking floorboards, shower sounded like it was in our room etc. didnt help that we had a couple shouting and screaming at each other for most of the night!! Staff were very friendly on check in."

"Just the sort of hotel we like best! An older property with personality, but with enough modern features for comfort. Unfailingly helpful, cheerful and professional staff. We had a large, comfortable room with a view of the castle, and a lovely selection of toiletries in the bathroom. My only criticism would be that there was only sliced bread available at the otherwise very good breakfast. "

"Comfortable hotel located within walking distance of the Principality stadium. In light of this the cost of the room was off the scale, however, this is a practice used by all hotels in the area when an event is on. This is by far the most expensive standard hotel room i've booked. £350 for a Sunday with a view over the car park. Breakfast was good with a host to guide you. Front of house communication skills could do with some improvement. Bar staff needed to be taught how to make a pint of...

"Blanco' exceeded expectations. Large comfortable room, immaculate with helpful, cheerful, polite staff. Hot chocolate and biscuits in room a nice touch and excellent variety at breakfast, fresh fruit, pastries, toast, cereals and hot buffet. Good position for walking into town."

"Great location for hiking and exploring the Brecon area Relaxing spa, sauna and pool after exploring the beacons. Hotel slightly dated, could do with a bit of redecoration. Staff however friendly, helpful and fantastic throughout :D also a great cooked breakfast :D"
