"Cute place, great location and staff. Thin walls"
Cute place, great location and staff. Thin walls, we could hear the room next to us LOUDLY through ear plugs when they came in drunk at 3am.

"Within easy reach of the centre with public transp"
City centre was within easy reach with public transport. The rooms were basic, beds comfortable. A disposable dish cloth and a proper tea towel would have been nice in the kitchen. In the cupboard under the sink were the most disgusting bowls. Why? There were other perfectly good bowls in other cupboards. Another thing that struck me was that in one of the drawers there were a lot of old spice jars but apart from a kettle there was nothing to prepare food.

Pocket Guide: Amsterdam Jordaan 2 stars Hotels

Leafy and quiet, Jordaan (pronounced 'your-darn') is Amsterdam's most fashionable village area. Old warehouses have been converted to chic apartments and some of the city's prettiest canals are lined with houseboats, charming 'brown cafes' and classy restaurants. Don't miss a stroll along the Egelantiersgracht and Brouwersgracht canals. Prinsengracht, home to the Anne Frank Museum, also boast delightful 'hidden' hofjes (almshouses).
