reasonably convenient near Heathrow
We used the Park Inn for a less-than-twelve-hour stay between flights. the ONLY downside we experienced had to do with the airport buses--a tiring, chilly wait for the Hotel Hoppa Service to pick us up from the airport. but THAT IS NOT THE HOTELS FAULT, and the bus back to the airport was right on the money. we didnt use any hotel services, but the staff was cheerful, efficient and attentive, the room was nicely appointed, the lobby was cheerfully lit and welcoming, and I REALLY liked the shower. While this is hardly a place one would use to visit London, it serves its main purpose admirably

Very busy airport hotel, with primarily business travellers. Extremely convenient to Heathrow if an overnight is required. I checked in late in the evening and there was a glitch; I waited nearly 15 minutes while the clerk left for an office behind the desk--and I was tired and annoyed at that point. It turned out they had no room for me in the category Id booked (two weeks prior), so I got bumped up to an executive suite. While the room was very large and comfortable, the bedside lights were broken, so I couldnt actually read in bed. I called down and found out it would be some time before it could be attended to, so I opted to do without. There was also a glitch connecting to the internet by wireless, which required an additional phone call and a special code to resolve. It could be a fluke, but it seemed to me the management has a very large and busy hotel with poor staffing and maintenance.
