Ialysus, Rhodes Island Hotels
Almost merging with neighbouring Ixia, Ialysus lies on Rhodes' north coast, six kilometres from the airport, and eight from Rhodes Town. Its large modern hotels with outdoor pools attract families and older couples on package deals. The narrow pebble beach affords views of Turkey across the water. It takes its name from Ancient Ialysus, five kilometres inland and home to a fourth-century BC temple and a peaceful monastery, well worth a visit.
