My husband and I had never been skiing and decided to try it out in Zermatt. I booked a flight and hotel combo on Expedia - therefore I was extremely disappointed to find out that our flight arrived after the last train had already left for Zermatt. Unless the flight landed an hour earlier than its scheduled arrival, we would have never made the train on time; therefore, we lost one night in Zermatt (which was already paid for) and we had to pay to stay at an airport hotel in order to catch the first train leaving for Zermatt the next morning. The staff apologized but stated that they were unable to provide a refund for the lost night. This had the potential of ruining our whole vacation as we only had a few nights in Zermatt but once we arrived at the hotel...all was forgotten.

The hotel is very complete in its facilities, very warm and elegant in design, and at the perfect spot in town to view the mountain. All of the staff are very friendly and are most helpful. We had a delightful time in our normal room; a great bed and beautiful bathroom.

Just returned from an early season ski break, fantasic hotel, friendly staff and the attention to detail sets the Bellerive apart. I have been visiting Zermatt for the last fifteen years and have stayed in most of the village this is definitely one of the best.Thank you for a wonderful stay, I will be back.
Was given a beautifully-restored apartment in the old section of Zermatt a few minutes walk from the hotel proper. The apartment was tastefully renovated, with ample room, full kitchen and with splendid view of the Matterhorn. The staff was extremely friendly. We will definitely come back.
