Pros: It was clean and updated.

Location: Old New Castle, Philadelphia, and Baltimore Maryland.
The hotel was nice and located to close to attractions of the area.

Rough start but ended ok.

I booked two non refundable rooms which were to be adjoining for my daughter's sleepover. The hotel had my info all wrong, wanted to give me a side by side room, and wanted to charge me more for an adjoining room....something I already had paid for. On top of that their pool was being renovated which was not made known on their website at the time of booking. Kids want a pool..I would have went elsewhere had I known. I had to argue with the guest agent regarding the pool and my accommodations and ended up showing the agent proof in an email I received regarding an adjoining room. It took me 30 minutes to check in and I am being nice about that. Major headache in the beginning....I had to argue down the guest agent and show proof because they had my accommodations all wrong.

A Bit Run Down

Location: Not much without driving some distance. A quick short cut around the airport to the Rt13 commercial district is possible, but road was closed
We booked this hotel last minute based on mostly positive reviews. It's located right on busy Rt 95, but very much in the middle of nowhere as far as nearby restaurants, stores,....etc... The entrance is not well designed and we ended up lugging our bags up a hill to it. Inside the hotel is nice with large open spaces. The front desk is the smallest I've ever seen I think and wasn't immediately intuitive as to it's location - sort of off set from front door. The staff was very friendly and fast to check us in, although they made a point to tell us the indoor pool was being remodeled and wasn't open. Our room was a "junior suite" - slightly larger than a regular hotel room and divided into a living room area and bedroom. Nice idea, although the living area had only two, very uncomfortable chairs for sitting and watching TV. Also, there was a non-functioning thermostat hanging out of the wall by it's wires. I understand this type of thing happens, but you'd think the cleaning staff would have said something to maintenance about it? Overall, the room didn't seem as clean as it should have been. Internet didn't work at all, and was too worn out to bother calling down and figuring out why so just used my phone. There was some wear and tear on the surfaces throughout the room - again something a more attentive maintenance staff would take care of. Bed was comfortable, but could have used more pillows.

Sheraton does not disappoint!

Pros: Atrium. Suites. Mattress.
We chose to stay here en route from our stay in the OuterBanks. The Sheraton was a magnificent gem amidst some seedy, rundown and overpriced hotels in the region who have also figured out they can bank on weary travelers. The hotel is beautifully designed with a lovely and inviting atrium and bar area. If you enjoy an excellent glass of wine, their bar hosts only 90 rated wines - what a pleasure! Suites are magnificent and spacious, easily accommodating a family of 4. The mattress was like sleeping on a cloud - the most luxurious night of sleep of our entire vacation. I would recommend without hesitation.

Was Disappointed On Our Return Stay

We love this hotel. We had stayed here before and the staff was wonderful and the location is great. However, they failed to mention that the pool and hot tub were closed for renovations. This was a major disappointment, since we travel with our daughter. The staff was still very friendly and helpful as always.

The hotel is nice and comfortable. But, we had a hard time finding the place due to the flood and darkness of the streets leading to the hotel. The staff were very helpful...giving us upgrade and extended check out time.

Poor experience

Location: On i95 - great to get places, not great to sleep!
Reception tried to be friendly but everything else was a let down - room service food quality poor - breakfast order and bill messed up several times - hard to sleep with noise from i95 freeway - room cleaners should be fired! Issues almost every day with room not being cleaned properly - room not tidied properly (things left laying around), dirty glasses left daily, one day they didn't even come in to clean at all, I was staying for 2 weeks and found out half way through that they don't change sheets during your whole stay!! I was made to feel ashamed that I wanted the sheets replaced!!

Very nice hotel and room

We stayed for one night, the hotel & room were very nice, and very clean. However we checked in at midnight, and the two front desk clerks were clearly lost in terms of the computer system they were trying to use. Their customer service skills matched their computer prowess. I waited over 30 minutes for the key to the room I had previously booked and paid for. Not once did either clerk make eye contact, explain what they were trying to do (unsuccessfully) on the computer, or apologize for the debacle in general. My credit card now shows that I was also double charged for the room. Other than that the hotel was great.
