“I only stayed one night and it was comfortable and clean. Staff were helpful.”

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The front desk number from my room never worked (always busy after a long wait). The staff were polite and helpful.

“Perfectly Good Motel”

The Motel was fine, and for the closeness to business, it was a very good deal. It is on a strip of other hotels, so there is no neighborhood to speak of. For what I needed, it served it's needs just fine.

“The good, the bad and the ugly!”

The ugly - Not the best area of town. And the cab driver had trouble accessing it accross the divided highway. The bad - A bit run down and the first "non-smoking" room I was allocated reeked of old smoke. But they moved me to a less stinky one. The wifi only worked in some rooms. The good - free shuttle service to Union Station.

Visit the Washington Monument firts thing to get your free timed ticket to go up to the top later in the day - worth is for the amazing views, and did I emntion it's free??!!!

“Prestation standard - Nothing special”

Very standard services offered. Pretty far from downtown, especially if you do not want to use your car to get there (even if you can take a bus a few streets away).

Getting around
From this hotel, you need to get the bus D4 (on Virginia Avenue) to go downtown (it means 10/15 minutes of walk from the hotel). You cannot transfer from a bus to another without the SmarTrip card (for bus and subway in Washington).

“Value for money”

I booked this hotel primarily for it's proximity to Washington, D.C.'s tourist attractions and relatively ow prices. I got value for my money and my room was just about live-able. I was paying for a Days Inn so it didn't make sense expecting a Mariott experience, but I felt the hotel staff could've been a little less indifferent. Still, not a bad experience and I would go there if I have to.

“Not Impressed”

Hotel was not clean at all. It was very noisy, near to a major road. No breakfast. Swimming pool was not working. WiFi was fine for email only. Do not go there.
