“An OK experience”
This was our fourth stay at the Grosvenor and we choose to stay there for the convenience of the location. As usual we booked room only as there is a better and cheaper breakfast available a short walk from the hotel. The lack of air conditioning in the room is a drawback when allocated to a room on the main road (window open versus traffic noise). Parking is a plus and the facility to extend the parking period post - checkout gives a further opportunity for exploring the town or taking a riverside walk. Penny pinching in the matter of drinking water in the room and strict portion control for the tea and coffee tray should be addressed as a small and inexpensive effort would provide a more positive experience.
“Very good hotel”
Hotel was good, clean and tidy. Room was very comfortable and quiet, away from the road, admittedly. Only problem was a noisy extract fan in the bathroom but just closed the door on that! Very good shower and 3 large towels! Excellent breakfast spread at a highish but not unreasonable price. Pleasant lounge and reception spaces. A few minutes walk to town centre and to the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. Car parking limited but otherwise no problems. If this is typical of Best Western hotels I shall seek them out elsewhere.
“Had better visits at this hotel”
Love Stratford and have stayed at the Grosvenor on many ocassions, unfortunately have been slighty disappointed this last visit. Had requested off road room, as front of hotel is noisy due to main one way system, but didn't get this. Woken abruptly by fire alarm, false alarm, then window cleaner's ladder clanked against the window at 09.18 a.m. Saturday, not a relaxing morning as was expected! Two functions were held on the Friday and Saturday, noisy as expected, however, do feel staff should request, when visitors are leaving the premise after midnight to be more considerate of others who are paying to stay overnight! Overall, staff polite and friendly, room service efficient and free parking great! I would return to the Grosvenor but be more specific regarding room situation and check what funtions are taking place at the hotel.
“Great location with free parking”
This hotel was in a great location. It had free parking and then you could walk to most of the attractions in Stratford-upon-Avon. The service was great; they answered all our questions. This is an older hotel but it is still in a nice condition. We had a little bit of trouble with the heat in one of our rooms and one of rooms was a lot smaller than our other room.
“Good location”
Located on a fairly busy road but hotel is set back and we didn't hear any traffic during our stay. Very close to lots of pubs, restaurants and shops plus within walking distance of Shakespeare's birthplace and final resting place. No air conditioning in the room (had to pay extra if you wanted it) but there was a fan which helped to circulate the air somewhat. Bathroom was a bit grubby but room itself was OK.
“A Great Spot”
This is a really well situated hotel, on a bit of a side street, but extremely close (c. 10 minute walk) to the theater. Staff were very helpful and pleasant, and the room was extremely comfortable, nice and warm on a very cold winter's night. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit.
“Ideal, um Stratford-Upon-Avon zu entdecken!”
Sehr sauberes Hotel mit höflichem Personal in sehr zentraler Lage. Das Hotel ist nur 20 Minuten Fußweg vom Bahnhof entfernt und einfach zu finden. Von dort kann man Stratford-Upon-Avon und Umgebung super erkunden, egal ob zu Fuß, mit dem Auto oder Bus u. Bahn!
