“Rip off by hotel taxi service”
We stayed at Rialto in 1 and 2 of May, 2011. The executive room was beautiful and comfortable. Breakfast was radiculusly expensive - 80 zl per person!!! When we asked for taxi we've got a hotel taxi, Mersedes and it was so expensive we could't believe the price. We asked the driver why is that and he said beacase is weekend. We paid 50 zl from the hotel on Wilcza street to Lopuszanski street which was a very short distance. For the much longer distance from the airport to the hotel we paid for city taxi only 15 zl. This hotel taxi business is very dishonest, shame on this hotel!
“pleased”
very comfortable with a friendly/helpful staff upon arrival, a map of the area was given and suggestions made on where to eat and visit that evening (since I arrived at about 7).
“Lovely hotel, shame about the extras.”
A wonderful hotel, characterful and comfortable with charming service. A pity about the extortionate extra costs for (slow) wi-fi, breakfast and the airport taxi which left me feeling a bit ripped off. Probably wouldn't stay here again.
“I'll be staying there again.”
Room bathroom are very light and spacious, nice features and furniture. Easy use of internet, and although it's a bit off teh beaten track the cosines of the hotel makes up for it. Dinner menue and food is great, although the breakfast seems a bit overpriced, and although the food is layed out nicely the selection is usualy, nothing out of ordinary for that sort of money.
“Very nice, but they need to improve!”
The hotel is beautiful and the staff is excellent. However, the room felt like an oven and the windows could not be opened. On the first night, when I requested assistance they said it was fixed and I could not sleep due to oppressive heat. The next day they opened the window. On the third night they called me at 11 PM and told me I need to close the window or change rooms. I told them they were out of their minds. At 1:30 AM they called me again to tell me to close the window. When I checked out and described my experience they offered an apology but no discount or service in consideration. In my opinion, poor response to a bad customer experience. I will not go back.
“"Not Impressed"”
This is not a five star hotel - at best 4 star
“a beautifully designed hotel with very efficient staff but with expensive internet access.”
The Railto is a beautiful hotel with efficient service but with a very important limitation: there is a very expensive charge for internet access. Had I known about this additional cost, in spite of the quality of the hotel, I would have booked elsewhere.
“Wonderful find”
This was a true diamond in the rough. Restaurant was wonderful, hotel was full of decorating surprises. The rest of my group cancelled their reservations to stay with me here. Service as a bit slow, but very helpful.
“Enough good for visiting Warsaw”
Everything was ok exept for the level of air conditioner that was too cool both in the hall and in the room
“A nice treat”
As I arrived and left by train, the hotel location was very handy, being a ten minute stroll from Centralina station. On the other hand, it's quite some way to walk to the Old City, but that's easily and cheaply reached by tram. It being an August weekend , I got a very good rate and so treated myself to a 5* hotel. As others have commented, it's surprising that you don't get free wifi (which I did manage to get in some of the Tatras mountains huts!), but I guess that's because it's more of a business travellers hotel. The surrounding streets are quiet residential ones, which means they are deserted at night (on a summer weekend at least), but it struck me as a safe neighbourhood and I didn't feel uncomfortable at any time - if you wanted, you could always detour slightly via the main Marzalkowska & Koszykowa streets to reach the hotel. Room also very quiet, though as with anywhere, you could be disturbed by people talking in the corridor.
