It was conveniently right next to where the Clipper comes in (literally up the hill) - that was convenient at arrival and departure but did require a short walk around otherwise since the downtown area was ~ .5 miles away. Dated rooms (older fixtures/furniture, some chipped paint) but generally clean and sleep quality was decent. Room smelled faintly of a pet (dog?) - we did see a couple with their dog so this hotel may be pet friendly?

Pros: Location

Close to all amenities. Very quiet location. Parking lot at the rear and elevator to the floors from the lot. Continental breakfast was great.

The breakfast was much more complete than advertised. The setting was lovely, as we had a view of the harbor. This is a great location for walking around the charming city of Victoria.

Fun and homey

Posted 04-May-2015
Pros: It was very clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast, though unremarkable, was fine.
Cons: My flight came in late, and although the hotel was ready for me to arrive, I couldn't find the staff person for a while.
Location: Within walking distance of so many interesting buildings and attractions, I regretted that I hadn't booked an extra day or two.
I stayed here while attending a conference next door and would consider booking this hotel instead of the conference hotel in the future. I had a kitchenette with plenty of freedom and privacy, and I felt that I was "coming home" at the end of the day. For a week of sightseeing in Victoria and the area, it's a great choice.

Excellent location right next to the harbor

Posted 03-May-2015
Cons: Better breakfast, no gluten free options, would be be better served with a certificate at a sit down breakfast restaurant,
apart from a plumbing problem (not in the room, it was a system problem)which affected our part of the hotel) which made us move to another room, it was great!

Nice hotel. close to Inner Harbour

Really nice room, convenient kitchenette, great included breakfast. Plumbing was a little noisy. Close to Inner Harbour, Parliament Buildings and Royal BC Museum.
