Very Close to the harbour

Posted 19-Jun-2015
Pros: so close to the harbour
Cons: sound proofing, fix noisy plumbing
Location: You couldn't have a better location, one block from the parliament buildings and harbour, 2 blocks to the museum & IMAX
The room was in an excellent location, right on the down town harbour and within walking distance to everything, the room was clean and spacious. The room I was in was on the ground floor and you could hear the people walking in the room overhead, and the plumbing was a little noisy. But all in all I would stay again and request a top floor unit.

Ok experience. The room a/c wasn't working well and the breakfast is nothing more than ordinary.

Einfaches Motel mit sehr zentraler Lage

Posted 17-Jun-2015

Nice hotel

Posted 16-Jun-2015
Pros: See above.
Cons: Thicker towels and cereal for breakfast.
Location: Near Inner Harbour. Great location. Walking distance to restaurants, tourist sites, BC Museum, whale watching tours, Parliament buildings etc.
Easy check in. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Older hotel, clean good sized rooms and ours had a kitchenette. Comfortable beds. Bright rooms with windows that open. Basic breakfast comes with room and free outdoor parking. Would recommend to anyone wanting value for money. Great location near harbour, lots of restaurants and shops all within easy walking distance. Would go there again.

Nice walks,good views.

Posted 15-Jun-2015
Pros: Location. Personnel. Charm
Cons: The room was stuffy and needed to be aired out. That was no big problem for me but a little off putting.
Location: Tourist info center, fishermans wharf, The Legislature, The Empress, Olde Towne....
Very nice Continential Breakfast self-serve in a clean relaxing and well set-up area. Within walking distance of many tourist spots. Close enough but just far enough away from the hustle bustle.Tourist info, maps, books, all well laid out in the lobby . All hotel staff very helpful, very accommodating.

Good English style accommodation.

Posted 11-Jun-2015
Pros: Location is great, close to town, restaurants and the harbour. Spacious room, well-equipped kitchen with all facilities.
Cons: Plumbing noises.
Location: Harbour, whale watching tours, great restaurants nearby.
The suite I stayed in was clean and spacious. The kitchen was very well equipped with large fridge, stove and microwave oven. There is plenty of storage space in the bedroom and the room itself opens onto a little balcony. The gardens are bright, colourful and very well maintained. The free breakfast was just adequate but since it was provided free there is no real cause for complaint. The Inn is very close to the harbour and all the attractions there. My only criticism is the plumbing - which is very noisy- and the variety of unusual and difficult to use taps. The lack of an exhaust fan in the bathroom is also a problem. Nonetheless this is a very comfortable and affordable hotel and I would recommend it to any visitor to Vancouver.

Great hotel -- for the price

Posted 11-Jun-2015
Great location, very comfortable room, free and powerful wifi, free parking. A bit dated decor, but with full kitchen, powerful wi-fi, and a third the cost of other nearby hotels, a great value for the price. Good and free self-serve breakfast. Unusually for this sort, it had cheese, ham and eggs. I have stayed at most of the nearby higher rated hotels (Laurel Point, Grand Pacific, Empress, Marriott), and would definitely come here if its on my own dime. No pool or gym, but if you are coming for a clean comfortable room with kitchenette and are going to amuse yourself outside the hotel, a definitely strong recommendation. I would even stay here for a long business trip, when your own kitchen is more valuable than some other amenities of the "international class" hotels.

Convenient.

Posted 10-Jun-2015
Pros: Room 303 is awesome, we might come back to spend part of our AB winter here for a few weeks.
Cons: Housekeeping barged in X2 unannounced ... although the room was already made up ... explanation?
Location: All is good ... no worries ... easy to find things to do ... even if it's just people watching ... James Bay area is lovely this time of year ...
So nice to be so close to the Inner Harbour, Fishermen's Wharf, Downtown, Beacon Hill Park, Dallas Road ... all of it ... thank u, thank u, thank u :)

A nice hotel

Posted 04-Jun-2015
Pros: Location
Cons: The mattresses seemed a bit soft. Perhaps made by 'deep valley beds' -- the mattress that brings couples together.
Location: On the harbor walk. Close to government house, the museum, and shopping
A nice hotel with a convenient location. Friendly staff.
