Short stop-over

Pros: The personal service, cleanliness and style of the room.
Location: A small village near to Nyon about a mile from lake Geneva. The backdrop of the moutains and Mont Blanc can be seen from the village.
Needed a hotel on the way to France from Geneva. We were not expecting anything special as it was a short stay. This hotel exceeded expectations! The staff were very friendly and resolved a small (Expedia) issue quickly and without any issue, offering us a drink in the bar while we waited. The room was decorated very recently and in good style. Breakfast was just what we wanted and provided in a very personal way. Overall it ticked the boxes for what we wanted.

1 Day stay for business

Posted 28-Aug-2013
Really enjoyed my stay here, usually when travelling for business to Geneva we stay at one of the many bland hotels chains around Geneva airport. For a change as the meeting was outside the city we chose this small hotel with its restaurant and we're glad we did. The staff were all really friendly and helpful, it includes free parking and much better rooms than say holiday inn etc. It also gives you full free wifi which I found worked great. Only one this was it was a hot day when I stayed and no air con meant the room was a little warm but overall I would definitely recommend this hotel. The food in the restaurant was fantastic too as was the position of the hotel in a quiet village location instead of near busy main roads like the larger chains.

Business and Pleasure

I chose the La Croix Verte hotel based on its location. It is close to the highway, yet out from the city of Nyon. There were walking trails to roam in the evening and none of the hustle and bustle that you find down near the lake. The hotel is small and personal. The restaurant/cafe is personal, with delicious and fresh food. I was on business but wanted quiet evenings away from the city. I found the staff very accomodating and would stay here again.

Very fiendly staff and hotel seems to have been recently rennovated as it was very clean and moderrn looking. Situated in a small town outside of Geneva but ideal for my meeting the following day. Hotel restaurant served typical Belgium fare and was actually of a very high standard. I would definitely stay there again.
