“Good hotel”

Just stayed for 3 nights in this hotel and it was clean and tidy, and ideal for our stay in Venice. It's on Lido island which is a short boat trip away, but easy to get to on the main boats that run throughout Venice. I'm glad we stayed here rather than right in the centre of Venice. Breakfast was available for 5 euros each but we didn't try it. Also very close to the beach.

“Good budget hotel”

The hotel is in the main street of the lido, 5 minutes walk from the vaporetto going to venice (5 minutes journey to giardini della biennale and 10 to san marco square). The street offers a number of restaurants, bars, gelaterie and a handy supermarket. Reiter is a very good choice if you want to visit venice in a budget style holiday.

“Excellent value for money”

For the price we paid we were surprised by the hotel. We received an excellent service from the staff, the room was very clean and cosy with a central heating system as we were there in january and was very cold outside. Breakfast for 5 euros unlmited juice, tea and coffee. Not a large selection of breakfast though. Hot water ran out quickly when showering.

“Hotel Albergo Reiter”

It was just as you would expect from a place in that price range, very basic but clean & staff were friendly. However, if you like your home comforts dont bother with this place! TV didnt work, one window didnt shut properly & there was a bit of damp on the walls. If you just need a place to crash on a buget though, it would be ideal!

“good location”

It's well placed half way between the ferry boats to venice and the beach on a street full of restraunts/action which though a bit busy snt too noisy. there is no air conditioning, no elevator, the place doesnt seem well maintained, the staff were unhelpful and not particularly helpful. the 'buffet' breakfast for 5eur was defrosted rolls and croissants with little packets of butter/jam + a little coffee machine (not great coffee) and a jug of milk and cereal machine. if your on a budget or need a cheap place to stay its fine. otherwise i wouldnt recommend it really. there us a two star hotel on the main island near the boat stop academia that looked much much much nicer.
