I found the staff to be very friendly and welcoming. My room was very clean and the housekeepers in the morning when I seen them in the hallway said "good morning." They even asked if there was anything else they could do for me. My experience has been one of the best!
"Excellent family friendly stay right in Vancouve"
From the first phone call, to the last word at the front desk on the way out, we found very courteous and "accommodating" service. My boss is an overworked electrical contractor, who owns his own business and raises 4 kids. They don't get out much for vacations, or fun. So for the last day of their Spring Break, I booked two rooms (thru Expedia 2 queen/jetted tub) for my coworkers and I and our kids... all of us from the local area.. just to take a day off and let the kids play. I started them with a scavenger hunt, that ended there at the hotel, where the young man at the desk very willingly played along with the scavenger hunt request of a photo with him... this is where they found out they would be staying the night when he handed them a key card to their room. The kids were sooooo excited to get to stay and even more so to find a 24 hour pool! It was so nice dealing with every person at that desk as the night went on. The management must be good to get that consistency! All employees made you feel like you were at a high end hotel... that you matter. They granted several requests from us without making us feel like we were putting them out, but helped us feel laid back being there. It was truly a relaxing time for us exhausted adults and the 6 kids. We even were able to invite the other co workers to hang out with us and go swimming until late that night. Breakfast was better than the standard and kept replenished until it was over. It was a treat to stay!
Stayed for a bridge tournament close by for a 5 day stay. The combination of a refrigerator and microwave in room made for a nice rest between sessions with the option of eating in the room. Saved alot of money by buying my food at the nearby Safeway market at Janzen Beach.
While Washington may claim Vancouver as its own, it takes just 20 minutes to drive between the city and Portland’s downtown. Public artworks, including the Salmon Run Bell Tower and Glockenspiel, reference the city’s centuries-old past. Elsewhere, visitors to the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site discover a 19th-century reconstructed fort, replete with furnishings and staff in period dress.
