“Great Experience”

Inn at 57 played a key role in my leaving Port of Spain with very pleasant memories.What struck me was the friendliness of everyone there,without exception. The staff was helpful in many ways throughout my 5 night stay to ensure my comfort - from helping me secure lost toiletries,to arranging transportation and sight-seeing tours,negotiating the best rates on my behalf,to making sure I had enough cash,when my wallet ran dry!( I wish I knew in advance that only select places in TT accept credit cards,and almost none accept AmEx). The Inn is very centrally located and cozy.The Savannah,the Queen's Oval cricket Stadium,good restaurants,grocery store,pharmacy,embassies and the business district are well within walking distance.Mr.Valentine Jones is always ready to help in any way he can and also provide a lively discussion of local and international scene,if you are interested. The warm breakfast provided each morning was sumptuous.Tea/coffeee were available in the lobby all 24 hours a day. I exprerienced two small irritants - The guest message system could be improved upon.I was never given a message from my home received in the evening before my departure and the front-desk staff "forgot" the wake-up call at 5 am,for the early flight,though I did make it.. Overall I had a wonderful experience at Inn at 57 and at departure I felt I was leaving friends behind.I know where to stay in Trinidad if I my plans call for a return visit to the islands.
