“Overall good”

All-in-all this hotel had everything it needed but I was not impressed by the restaurant. The servers we had would change frequently during our dinning experience and they did not seem to have great product knowledge. I expected more from restaurant staff in a 4 star hotel. Also wasn't too impressed that the reception desk addressed me as Mr. on the extra charges receipt. Great location does not mean that they can slack off and at first glance it seems that they did. Also being right next to the elevator shaft was something new to me as I didn't know that you can hear the elevator every time it moves. Something to remember for my next hotel stay. Victoria

“Great Expedia Deal!”

Friendly staff - great room - comfy beds, nice linens, patio a nice touch, and concierge and bell staff very helpful. Only complaint is the doors are thin so hallway conversations are easily heard. Which, on reflection, did make for some very interesting entertainment.

“perfect for our needs”

We needed a good Hotel in Midtown Toronto and The Sutton Place met our needs perfectly. The Hotel is obviously not new but is in excellent condition and the rooms were clean and fresh. the only area of complaint was with all the construction in the area the pile drivers started hammering at 6:00AM. With the deal we got through Expedia we would certainly stay there again

“Not Impressed”

I had decided to be bold and purchased this hotel room from the unpublished rates. Unfortunatly, this hotel was definitely not to my standards of what a 4 star hotel should be. Although the rooms are big, the bathroom was very small and everything about the hotel is outdated.

“secret saver”

We booked into the sutton place hotel for our last night before returning home. It was an Expedia secret saver so I was a bit unsure about what i was going to get. There was nothing to worry about, the hotel was wonderful. It was elegant, the staff were really helpful, I was offered a late checkout time. The rooms were comfortable, well furnished and of a reasonable size. We had a wonderful time.

Area recommendations

Toronto has lots of neighbourhoods worth a visit, I enjoyed Kensington, St Lawrences Market and also both Cathedral were magnificent, It was our second time in Toronto.

Getting around

Get an all day ticket, good value and can be used on streetcars, Metro and buses.

Dining

There is a small Pizza Restaurant next door to the hotel. The Chef is wonderful and the specials served were extremely good, I had veal and it was delicious. We also went to Babur, an indian restaurant on Queen st, The food was exceptional, and very reasonable.

“Friendly staff.”

The hotel was extremely clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Great parking garage with ample room to open the doors and easily move around. There was also plenty of parking spots. It was close to Bloor street shopping which was convenient. A pool a hot tub are more massage therapists available would have been ideal .

Area recommendations

Downtown core for the night life or the Yorkville area for shopping.
